If there are counterclaims of any sort, one extra night can help us figure out who's lying and who isn't, rather than locking into a 1v1 today and giving us a 50% chance of lynching wrongly and losing the game.

You seem to be mixing a no lynch and a mass claim request and acting as if they are interconnected. Narrowing down to just the massclaim aspect - what do you see as the advantage to that at this stage?

I would prefer to go straight to no-lynch, no massclaim. Players with guilty results should obviously come out immediately, but on account of no PRs flipping yet, I think it's a safe guess that we'll at least be able to fix things into some sort of one on one situation tomorrow.

Listen, we're essentially at the endgame. Scum HAVE to counterclaim power roles, otherwise there will be an overload of VTs and we'll know the scum reside somewhere in there. We have had ALL VT deaths so far in this game, so there are plenty of power roles out there right now that could either confirm each other via cross-reports or at least make it harder for the scum to have a decent fakeclaim.

We suppose it wouldn't hurt to wait until tomorrow, but if we're going to no lynch anyway, I think another NK worth of information would be worth it, especially if we lose a PR tonight.

If we're going to go half-claim, I say just do the full monte. But I'll let the rest of the town decide.

Flip and Flavor

Before anyone can even start arguing, however, something happens.

A guest speaks out. "Listen...I don't know who of you are the mafia, but I can't take this anymore...I don't deserve to be here..."

This person broke down and then told their story about their crime in an attempt for crazy forgiveness.

"I was just a kid when it happened...I burned down an old house just for fun. No one was in it, but they still want whoever did it for arson. I was only a kid, I didn't know the difference..it was just a huge mistake."

Another person was touched.

"Don't worry about it...well, see, I was part of a company at one time and the lure of money became so much that I embezzled from it...but my daughter was sick...she needed an operation and I just didn't have the money."

Another person confessed to disturbing the peace when they were drunk during a party and accidentally breaking into someone's house, just to leave seconds later.

As people list off their crimes in an attempt to clear their name, someone turns to you. "So, what did you do?"

You stop and stay quiet. "I.....still can't talk about it. It just hurts too much..."

The flashbacks come one after another.

In the dark of night, you find yourself hitting the gas as hard as you can. Speeding down a street...you're out of breath, adrenaline pumping through your veins. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man dressed in all black and in his early 20's walks out into the street...you hit the breaks to avoid hitting him, but it was too late.

You can do nothing but hear his cries. You had paralyzed him.

After resigning from your job and many months of treatment, it seemed as if you had just about forgotten the pain. You were waiting for a new start, tucked away in the darkness and denial, running away from reality...

Everyone grows silent. After days of savageness and hunting, you realize that no one should go through this any longer. At least for today.

You all sit around the fire, friend and foe alike, taking a break from the constant talk and fear of death and mutilation, then retire for your rooms. Tomorrow is another day, but people can only take so much, even if someone has them backed up against the wall like a wounded animal. It can wait one night.

Flip and Flavor

You wake up after a few hours of sleep, almost well-rested due to the time off from hunting mafia yesterday. You change clothes and go downstairs to find another horrific sight.

mothrax hangs there with a rope around his neck and tied to the wooden rafters. A note sits next to him.

"If you guys won't hang anyone, I WILL."

And that's it.

The rest of the guests collect downstairs. They are shocked at what they see. After cutting him down and putting him in the basement, you recall that he was the man that had an unnatural crush on a girl that he went to school with. A check of his room shows....no mafia related equipment or weapons...but instead, pictures of said girl. EVERYWHERE. He was a stalker, but he was only driven by love and not lust or rage, despite how crazy it seemed. And after days of bloodthirsty hunting, he only wanted a friend to be next to.

This enrages you further. After going downstairs, you notice that the temperature became warmer and that the snow was finally melting, but you don't care. Though the snow is melting, the revenge is still fresh in your mind.

We have no problem starting the massclaim.

We are a vanilla townie, though we were neighborized with mothrax.

Our QT was very empty. We got neighborized at the start of D2. Dramonic forgot to inform Reck of the neighborization, so we completely forgot we even had a QT with him until the mod prodded us to go check it. Very vague comments were made in passing:

mothrax asked us for our opinion on Thor, to which we replied that he felt townie.
mothrax said he was leaning towards Lat & singer being scum and pulling off "one hell of a bussing act".
N3, we talked about how we felt the people who were pro-massclaim were more likely to be scum, aka Seraphim & Powerrox.

Given that context, we'd like to send the popcorn claim over to Seraphim.

Aha, this is open. Anyway, I'm fairly sure I have a guilty result today that should make things considerably easier.

I'm a watcher, first of all.

I targeted Thor N1. He was my strongest town read and I felt, out of all the players, he was the towniest. No one visited him.
I targeted Nachomamma N2. Same deal with N1. No one visited him.
I targeted Mothrax N3. I targeted him because of a vibe I got...I dunno Guess what? I got a result. Mothrax was visited last night. Mothrax died last night. Let's do the math. The visitor was the one and only singersigner.

Unless there are some shenanigans in the works, I think the lynch is clear.
