BTW, for the deep diggers out there, Slimes are now quite common in the game. Slimes will spawn in large caves below layer 20 or something. It seems that in SMP they are almost impossible to kill, although the small ones can't damage you. If you see a large one and can't divide it, just run away until it de-spawns. Don't build train lines below layer 20.

I just started (recently bought the game). :3 Will join the server after a few practice runs. Also I now know why your skin crawls when you hear the hissssssing sound.

DTM, it gets worse than creepers with the sounds. Suddenly hearing a cave sound interrupt your digging or hearing zombie growls RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR EAR without warning = much worse initially.

as night was just starting, and a GODDAMN SKELETON WOKE ME UP AND KILLED HALF MY HEARTS. As soon as I killed it I killed the beds for safety.

Also, I'm building an obsidian house. I plan to make it really tall. The cave of death entrance is going to be converted into a basement. Still feel free to go into the basement and enter the cave or farm the sugar.
