My tower is now linked up to the subway (cheers caranha) and the Skyway connecting the top of my tower to the (future) site of Untrod's house is finished, apart from the glass siding.
I've planted a fairly large (20 or so) forest outside my front door, since it's relatively near the spawn for newcomers. If you chop a tree down, plant one of the saplings that'll drop from the leaves.

So it turns out you can jump from the very top of the server into 2 blocks of water and survive.

Oh, and if anyone has some lava I could borrow on a permanent-without-any-intent-of-returning basis, that'd be nice.

It seems somebody is griefing: KoC lost iron, socio's shops are being ruined, and now bv's had iron stolen.

Somewhere, some day, we're going to find a giant iron palace built at the adminium level, with a trollface above the front door.

This. I was actually thinking of inviting a couple of (reliable, non-troll) friends onto the server to help me with my Kocktower, but if this is the thinking that's going to prevail, you might as well password the server and only hand it out to people who ask via PM on here.

There's a no-build zone right at spawn. You have to move somewhere else. I'd suggest coming over near my and Esurio's places.

Alternatively, head towards the big cobble tower with lava pouring out of the top. There's a mine if you head down, and a skyway across to untrod's house and the rest of the island area. If there are zombies near the door, use the water elevator (Just stick your head out every now and then, unless you like drowning.)

Both my lighthouses trashed, a hidden chest that couldn't have been found without certain questionable addons being installed looted of 64 diamonds, 6 stacks of iron and 5 stacks of coal, and my entire mine flooded and now full of mobs that I really don't have time to clear out.
Anyone who wants what the cunt left of my stuff is welcome to loot the tower. I'm abandoning it.

The KoCktower and mines have been converted into a large, above- and underground creep dungeon.
I'd highly suggest sealing off the Subway entrance to my mine, as it is now largely flooded.
However, for those willing to brave it, there's still significant resources in the tower itself, and if you make it through the mine, there is at least one unexplored cave complex.

Trashing it was fun.

There's far more belowground than above, but I'm too lazy to do a full job of it. Following the water all the way down will only take you through the parts of the mine that have been explored, the side passages have a lot more to them.

Found this in my single player world, in the middle of a pit with a floating island above it. Fairly sure the floating island would have been a perfect block for block fit with the pit, and the island turned out to be hollow with a skeleton spawner inside.I don't think I want to go down these stairs. Whatever made them probably just wants some alone time. Right?

That's a shame... we really need xxxHardcorexxx to make it work, so I'll have to find a way of setting it up without plugins. Trouble is, Guude really skimmed over how they did it. I'd have to see the map to make sure nobody was spawning in an ocean or anything...

I think we'll just have to have an agreement to not fight or break anything until I say the five minutes is up.

Is this PvP survival thing supposed to mimic The Hunger Games?

I thought of that actually. Maybe some time in the future, I could pre-prepare an area full of traps and stuff...
