Why not? Because then we can have a single player copy of the fresh map? Don't see the problem in that. (If you really want to know where the diamonds are, there are simpler ways.

I almost think an archipelago-style seed would be best, since we aren't making a collective city but focusing on our own individual projects. I think the seed 1 is this, but there are plenty

As long as people don´t build TOO far apart so that I don´t go crazy making tunnels connecting everywhere :-D (BTW, guys leave some space for me to build the central train station somewhere 50-100 blocks from spawn, plz? :-P)

+1 to whitelist as long as my friend Grahje can be on it. He's said he doesn't have another multiplayer server to play on and was thinking of maybe joining prior to the whole griefer thing.

I will take responsibility for his actions if he decides to be a dick (which would be very unlike him, btw).

I think that would not be a problem. The whitelist is to prevent random people from logging in, not to limit the number of players.

Don't get me wrong, roads are great for traversing and stuff...but can we finish it all the way instead of doing it in stages? I mean like build glass encasements while building the actual road, not afterwards.

And minecarts are so bleh. I just used the tunnels sans cart to get around ehehehe.

Yeah, roads with glass encasements are juts impractical. Now with beds there is even less reason to have them. I see aboveground roads more for the looks.

But you are right about the tunnels/minecarts. Minecarts are a luxury, but the tunnel network will be made (around depth 40, so it won´t mess with anyone´s mines.

Well what if we had signs that pointed to where X's home was with the roads, along certain points? Like, X's house go ^, Y's house go >, Z's house go <.

Anyone know if ore veins have been made bigger? I just found a 12-block iron vein on a new SSP map, and I don't think I've ever found an iron vein bigger than 6 before now. o_O

We need a huuuuge hollow tree at spawn that goes from sea level to the top of the map.

Then wherever you build your home on the map, you create a reverse path from there, that gradually ramps up skywards and heads toward spawn. Finally connecting with the spawn tree somewhere (and you make a little hole in the side) on one of its intermediate "levels".

Then put railways or waterslides down the paths! And a sign that says <----- XYZ's house this way! :)
