March 14th. Last time Oman posted in this thread. To be honest I don't blame him. I remember a time when Al made up shit titles and he got berated for it, he even got a title for it. However we have 8 pages here and there are a number of suggestions here yet I assume that not one of them has been picked up. I do think Oman's title choices are so strict that it won't let any through but at the same title, the titles that are being suggested are not good, in fact they are truly terrible. The fact is most people arent funny or at least naturally funny. For instance, me. Im not a funny guy, in fact amongst my friends Im the straight man. The one others play off of to get a laugh. Now none of you have a straight man and none of you are naturally funny. I mean yes, there are occasions when my comic timing is spot on and I come out with a witty one liner (Im quite good at sarcasm) but more often than not, my jokes fall wide of the mark.

It's like that with title's and with the titles like a few other threads they need to go through a screening process.

Does it make me laugh or is it memorable?
Will other people find it memorable?
Does it stand out?
Does it define that person?
Am I posting a title because I think this person truly deserves it or do I just love my own posts

If the answer to all of these is yes and the last one the former then post it and if you still aren't sure then a helpful hint. The first 8 pages are what you are trying to be better than and whilst that is a dig at the standard of titles, its also not. You are trying to raise the standard of what has come before regardless of quality. Not get worse.

Also Im glad we are all such fun happy people but really, there is a line and there is also a thread called inconsequential crap. It's always a good idea to ask yourself (while your asking the questions above) should I post in here or should I be posting there. That way we can pave the way for better suggestions, more people in here and have Oman not close the thread for a month/not come in here for a month. Good idea, no?

Also there is a difference between scumchat and most other platforms. A LoL title is not really appropriate for here.

Are we going to be seeing you play LoL in a year or two's time, is there going to be a subforum or is the thread still going to be there? or is it a passing thing like Conquer club or Farragomate and will fall into obscurity in a few weeks/months time? Fact is, that scumchat regardless of what people say is at the very least associated with the site. Things that happen there can affect what happens here, especially a couple of years ago. However things that happen outwith scumchat or meets etc. shouldn't be considered. The point of the title should be to be able to associate it from something on site. Associating it with the site because people from the chat are playing a game outwith the site is stretching it a bit thin and the fact you won't be playing it as majorly in however long means that the title becomes quickly irrelevant.

I think we could describe you with the words Accept it. If we apply the same rules that are applied here for a LoL title there would it go through, I don't think so.

The point is not to provide a laugh but it is meant to be a small one liner about something that defines them here and from my point of view UT has been nowhere near fat or sassy enough to warrant that title here.

2. He does deserve better but he is okay with it, but in the end whole argument is pointless.

3. No offense but we've been over this. We aren't giving him a title for his playstyle. And we aren't going to give him a title to insult him. We're just going to leave him be.

But, I haven't seen him in a while. My memories of him are all terrible and filled with hatred. Which isn't very sportsmanlike but COME ON.

Oman, why does chesskid have a title? He does not deserve one. Titles should be for people who deserve them, people who contribute to the site positively whether it be only in games or else where. Chesskid has no positive points against him and I would like to see and nominate him for

removal of his title

That's fine. Im not saying people like him and I think its clear I don't. Oman should take that into account when reading my posts. However as of today I have not seen any reason why he deserves a title and therefore would like to see it rescinded. I may be drunk but I am being serious.
