Izak, a couple of questions for you, if that's okay?

Firstly, at what point technologically are we? Do we have trains? Boats? Cars? Planes? Spaceships even? And what about telecommunication? Wires, radio, television, the Internet, Skynet.... you see my point?

Secondly, can we and/or should we research specific technologies, or just a technological goal? For example, if I wanted to create a spaceship, would I need to specify that I wanted to research rockets, fuel, spacesuits etc? Or does that all come under the banner of "spaceship"?

Thirdly, and leading on from my last question, if we research something, in whole or in part, to what extent is the technology transferrable between projects? For instance, if I had a spaceship, could I then assume that I had rocket technology, so I also had, by default, missile capability?

Fourthly, what kind of timeframes/prices are we looking at for technologies?

And lastly, are we constrained by current beliefs of the laws of physics/chemistry/biology? Could I, for instance, create a spacecraft that uses gone-off cheese to propel itself, provided I gave a good scientific reason why it should do so?

Inspiratie, I think what Izak's trying to say is that there is NO SET TAX RATE. Instead, you raise or lower tax relative to what you have now I.E. "I'll raise my tax by half again" "Double the tax" "Add a quarter onto my tax" kinda thing. You start with £4bn of your weekly income as tax. Doubling that would make it £8bn, adding half again would make it £6bn etc.

I know that I'm not running the country any more, but Astariel's declaration of war on Chesstopia was a pre-emptive strike against an evil dictator. Technically that could be classed as a war of aggression, but it was for defensive motives.

I would say that we should treat wars of aggression as war crimes, in reference to the London Charter of the International Military Tribunal, set up for the prosecution of Axis generals after WWII. Perhaps a more important question is this; are the Draconians issuing a presumption of guilt? (ie guilty until proven innocent, rather that the more contemporary practice of innocent until proven guilty.) Also, are we solely trying Kiwieagle II, or are we trying his generals, officers, parliament etc.?

With regards to the second count, the war of aggression against Mistotopia in the Second Mistotopian War, we have no data accomanying this event, so, unfortunately, we have nothing to add besides what is already public knowledge.

The third count, the perfidy against Astariel in the Chesstopian War, is a complicated matter, but as I understand it, it unfolds thus;
Astariel sent a rather impressive force to attack Chesstopia, legally or non. Kiwieagle I, though a breakdown in communication, then attacks Chesstopia's weapons factories. Melodica, meanwhile, chose to defend Chesstopia from the Astarian invasion. Crucially, Kiwieagle I, perhaps sensing the turn of the tide, switched sides to defend Chesstopia, thus directly leading to the loss of Astariel in the war, and ultimately the destruction of Astariel herself.

Finally, Magrathea is unable to comment on the fourth count, that of perfidy against Melodica and Mistotopia, due to the personal connection Magrathea has with the conflict; it occured during the Dinotopian War, and as Dinotopia then eventually became Magrathea, we feel we would be biased to give evidence on this matter.
