Read the aftermaths of the Blackest Night Mafia and Metropolis: Revisited Mafia. ReaperCharlie tends to think that "theme" means the same thing that other people call "bastard".

That and the character that says the line from the video game I pulled the line from turned a deaf ear to people confronting him with logic. Even with solid proof of something he still rejected the notion. Plus the game it's from, mass effect, is also another game RC's going to be involved with running sometime in the future.

That's actually why the title makes sense.
Context: a politician is denying the existance of something that nearly killed him and his co-workers, family, friends, home, and very way of life. After being presented by irrefutable truth to the object's existance by a person whom up until then he was continuously belittled and insulted, he is still skeptical and, after a time passes, altogether denies it ever existed.
Sorta why it just seems to make sense. The person who said the line disagrees with others opinions, even when those opinions saved his ass from death.
