Chevre's titles are mostly bad, the off one is horrible and one or two was just mediocre. I might just be liking the bite of Chevre's Thread too much, but I really like Chevre's Title. Also, Gender-bender titles are now boring.

Ythan, you really need to stop baiting. I know you're snarky, every knows you're quick witted, and too often I agree with you on a personal level. Unfortunately you really don't add anything to the thread when you're taking potshots, and part of keeping this thread clean and professional is ceasing the snarky posts. Someone posts something dumb, you jump in with the (again, too often correct) witty berating, and then like four people bite. You know they're gonna bite, stop baiting the hook, dude.

Those of you who are posting goofy shit sometimes: I merely ask that it's focused. Half of you are posting just different opinions on titles, and different thoughts that I don't agree with (i.e. bad titles) this is totally cool. It's an interesting idea,

but I'm not sold on it.

...Actually, on thinking through on why I wouldn't be sold on it, I ended up convincing myself that, well...it actually makes sense.

...But thinking it through some more, I think that it might be something like this:

To nominate someone, you have to be onsite for six months. You can offer discussion if your joindate is under six months, but can't nominate/vote.

...Ack. But that doesn't seem perfect.


I like the idea, but I'm not sure it'd work that well. (Besides, it seems like a lot of the bad suggestions aren't coming from newbs. Maybe n00bs, but that's a subject for a different thread. )

It's not the worst idea, but since we don't 'vote' anyway, it's sort of moot. I could see perhaps not allowing under-six-monthers to nominate new suggestions, but really I don't care much. Most of the problem behavior has NOT been from newbies, in my estimation.
