Interesting - in the cold world of solitary creatures, great abilities are always beneficial.

For social creatures, things are a little more ....complex. Take Hoopla for instance, she chose to take responsibility, join the fight with all she had, to stick her neck out - only to have her head cut clean off.

I swear I protected Hoopla. With one scum left it wasn't the time for gambits, and I wouldn't have dreamed to protect someone else. It wouldn't make sense. I'm not scum, even though this kill might make it so obvious. I've been my town self all game, and this usually doesn't make me popular, even a possible mislynch, but it's so obviously different from how I play scum.

Hoopla jailkeeping mykonian would be a really

really

terrible move. There's very little incentive for scum to kill (except for Hooplascum and as this scenario shows mykscum), so taking a potshot at Hoopla has very little opportunity cost. It's basically giving the game away in case of non-mykscum (and pointless in case of mykscum).
