recovering after surviving a brush
with death at the Kent Summit Street
Laundromat.

washing machine for three minutes
after it locked her inside.  Josh
Hecker of Kent used a hammer to
smash the window and rescue her.
Police said Marla and her brother
were playing when she climbed into
the machine.  They did not know it

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas
INGREDIENTS

2 cans Chicken Broth (15 or 12)
1 can Beef Broth (15 or 12)
1 ½ cups water (using water will cut down on flavor intensity)
1 can hot green chiles (4 or 6 or 8)
1 pound dried black-eyed peas, sorted and rinsed
1 purple onion, diced
4 cloves not bulbs garlic, diced
1 red bell pepper, stemmed, seeded, and diced
2 jalapeno’s, seeded and minced
1 to 2 lbs Pork tenderloin or sausage fresh not frozen
Half a package of Maple Bacon, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
Season-all, to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Sort peas to separate and remove dirt and rocks.
2. Rinse peas in strainer and soak in crock pot overnight to reduce cooking time.
3. Pour out the water from soaking peas overnight and rinse peas again.
4. Combine the black-eyed peas, onion, garlic, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, pork loin, bacon, green chiles, broth, water, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper; stir to blend. Cover the slow cooker and cook on High (Low) for 6 to 8 hours until the beans are tender.

, everyone was having a pretty good day. The sun was shining... actually, in Suvonia, it hardly ever stops shining. A bunch of people were trying to kick up a riot in the capital, but hey, who cares? No self-respecting Chesstopian is going to let a little thing like that spoil their day. Anyway, there was this really cute kitten called Bertie, owned by a middle-aged Nurse, in a town not far from the border. He was white with black patches, and had a tendency to jump on the heads of random passers-by. One day, he jumped on the head of a man who had a wig, and ripped it clean off. As the man chased the kitten down the road to retrieve the wig, a Daycop wandered past. He saw that, normally hidden by the wig, the man had a strange tattoo on his bald head. Having studied religion in college, the Daycop immediately took this to mean something. After many hours of deliberation, he came to the conclusion that this man must be a Cultist! He set out to find a Pschologist to try and cure the man. Unfortunately, Psychologists cure Serial Killers, not Cultists, so upon visiting the Cultist, he got recruited into the cult. A bit disturbed by all this, the Daycop reported the incident to the Chief of Police. However, this obvious open communication alerted the Godfather to the Chief's existence, and he sent a Goon to kill him. Interestingly enough, the Godfather was rather elderly, and probably going to die any day. This created quite a power struggle within the Mafia, with the Roleblocker and the Rolecop each trying to rally their own faction. It didn't help that there was a pack of Werewolves and the aforementioned Cult trying to take over the town at the same time. Anyway, back to the kitten named Bertie. He got away from the Cultist, and hid the wig in a dustbin, before returning to the Nurse. She had seen the earlier commotion from her bedroom window, and was surprised that Bertie didn't still have the wig. That was when the Cultist arrived, demanding that he have the wig back. Just then, a Vigilante turned up to see what the noise was about, and shot the Cultist for disturbing the neighbours, getting blood all over a rather expensive Persian rug. Unfortunely for the Vigilante, the Nurse turned out to be a Werewolf, and proceeded to eat him. At this point, the Moderator got bored with writing random crap, and dropped a meteor on the village. It's all gone now, so he doesn't care that it was a terrible story anyway.
