Oh yeah: Antrax, what happened to that game you were working on?

Spaceman Spiff would certainly be a role, as well as an any other named fantasy versions of Calvin. The teacher could be evil. Susie... Parents...Aliens...etc.

Ooo...I like the calvinball idea. It would be tricky to implement, though, and still have it be

a) Sensible
b) Fun
c) Mafia.

Otherwise it would degrade into Mornington Crescent (fun but a little stupid).

Well, PBuG, if I'm still alive when it's done, let me know how things turned out.

[peeks head in thread]

Mmm....Elder Scrolls III: Morrowwind....so....good.....

I feel like that actually
could
have a pretty neat interpretation as a mafia game.

I like the sound of the feudal Japan game. I've never heard of the books.

Were there pirates in Feudal Japan? Well, there are now.

You betcha, gslamm. There are a couple hundred crayola colors, several of which have been "retired" from normal boxes.

As long as players were okay with viewing it as kind of a silly side game, I'd be so /in for that. It would especially neat if there were some pretty intricate roles...i.e. a very non-mountainous game. So much to convey, and such a small alphabet to do it with.

I'm not really sure how this thread works...it's one of the few I haven't really kept up with on the site. In any case, I'm strongly thinking about running a time-travel mafia threequel, and I was trying to decide whether or not to make a mini theme or a full-sized game out of it. I'm trying to gauge how many people would be interested...it would definitely be more a game for those a fan of the theory of mafia and enjoy putting a decent amount of planning into the game.

It probably wouldn't be for a few months anyway.

Okay, lukewarm support. Maybe I'll think about a mini then.

The lack of revealing is almost a necessity, unfortunately. Otherwise the town can end up filled with people who have already died and have verified innocent by the mod. So it would take a fairly drastic change in gameplay to avoid this...fortunately, I have a couple of ideas up my sleeve....

I'm interested in the design of that game. While I might be too lazy to co-mod, feel free to chat with me about it any time we're both on AIM.
