Have you considered that it might have been a bad idea to create an account for someone else?- Nobody Special

I have seen, in the past, potential members who were having issues with creating an account post (as "Guest") in the Help forum. I have no idea how they did so, but perhaps your friend needs to do that and manage his account creation on his own.
It's nice that you're trying to help him, but there are certain protocols that need to be followed.- Nobody Special

Don't hold your breath. I don't anticipate Flay's answer changing.
Protip: When an administrator of a board tells you they aren't comfortable doing something, you don't needle them and say "What's to be uncomfortable about?" -- no, you accept their answer and do it their way. They are, after all, in charge. That's why they'readministrators.
(And if, for some reason, you aren't sure that Mr. Flay is an Administrator, first of all, his username is red, which [on this board] signifies a member of the administration, and also, if youclickon his name and view his profile, you'll see that he indeed a member of the Administrator usergroup.)
And before you complain that I'm not an administrator, be advised that they're really busy running this board (and they have lives), and they don't always have the time to pop in and answer on our time schedule. They do this all for free, so it's best to have lots of patience. So, I figured an answer from me would be better than silence.- Nobody Special

"How old are you?" is also a perfectly legit question, yet you refuse to answer it.
The admins have refused your request.

A) I am not giving you a hard time.
B) I can post anywhere I wish.
C) Asking non-Admins to stop posting in your thread is not only counter-productive, but borders on childish.- Nobody Special

I am not giving you a hard time. I am sharing my experience on this website with you. Flay rarely (if ever) changes his mind, in my experience. I'm just trying to get you to acknowledge that your position is untenable, and I'm advising you not to get too terribly invested in getting Flay to change his mind.
Bottom line,I am trying to help you.You are just being too damned stubborn to accept anything anyone says here. Even the administrators.- Nobody Special

And you are being unrealistic. You have gotten your answer, yet you expect that your whining will magically make the admins change their mind.
It doesn't work that way.- Nobody Special

No, I am (again) sharing my experience with you. However, your sense of entitlement and your stubbornness and your self-centeredness dictate that no one aside from you can be correct, and thus you dismiss me.
I seriously doubt that Flay will change his mind.- Nobody Special

And I have repeatedly told you something that you don't want to hear, accept, or acknowledge. And thus, we are at an impasse.
And your mood is not germane to the discussion at hand.- Nobody Special

Yes, but asking people not to participate in a public thread is churlish, immature, and downright rude.BabyBlue wrote:The only stupid ones are the ones who keep harassing me. I asked already for people to not reply unless they were an admin. NS has continued to do so, even more after realizing he was upsetting me.
P-Edit: No, it's a public thread, started by you. Once you release it into the wild, you have no claim over it anymore. - Nobody Special
