Because he's nearly dead and now has less net influence in the game. It looks like this is exactly the case (Blastoide being scum 1/town 2, so this is good for the town. However, a better play from a scum 1/town 2 perspective wouldn't be dying D1 as you sacrifice an entire avenue of possible scum wins. If you're lynched at any point, it's no big deal because you're now town in a game that just lost a scum, but in reality this outcome should have been his fallback, not his only chance.

Good for the town, suboptimal for a scum 1/town 2 player.

The way I see it is there is a 50/50 chance there being one other scum right now. If there is, then they should say so we lynch him tomorrow and everyone wins. If there isn't then everyone wins by tomorrow.

The rules are pretty clear. The game ends immediately upon there being no scum left. You don't become your second role until the next stage. So for example, Blastoide would have become his town second role on Night 1. However, since the game immediately ended, we did not move to Night 1, so he did not get that role. Which means he ended with a scum role. Which means he loses.

This was disappointing. I know Blastoide thought he had found some super secret win formula, but for obvious reasons I designed the game so that wouldn't happen. Either he'd have a second scummate he left out to dry or he autolost. In this case, he autolost.

I have a second set of roles I can distribute if people want to play again. If we get all five people voting to play again (or even four who want to play), I can run it. Since Hoopla is the list mod, she can tell us whether doing so is legit.

I was vt/vt slightly saddening, but I think if done right, this mechanic could be really awesome.

Piggy was obv town/town. I think the game is a great concept - just dunno about the execution. I feel like something so abnormal is bound to have unforeseen holes in it, but I sanction another game. Lets do it.

Part of why I think it might have ended so fast is the lack of the "informed minority". I wonder if maybe letting the scum know how many of them are in the first round would help something like what happened here not happen again.
