You have heard from the guards that this was all some sort of experiment. That it was finally closing to an end. It pains you to guess what that end might be. You had not seen your partner for months. You didn't even know if you'd see them again. Now, finally, after months of despair, your partner stands a mere 5 feet away from you. You both hesitate for a second before you throw yourself into a loving embrace.

After a blissful time that seemed shorter than you wished, you start to notice six other people in the room. They mirror your emotions and they had paired up with somebody else. You have never seen them before. Your partner tells you the same thing. How can these strangers have the same thing as you and your partner. They cannot possibly have experienced the emotions and pain of one you love so much. They could not have.

A guard enters the solitary room and hands you a piece of paper. You read it, and you are horrified at the prospect of the experiment. You lower you paper and gaze at your lover. You force a smile on your face and a tear escapes your eye. You've been with your partner for five years and will do anything for them in the name of TRUE LOVE.

The day was exhausting. Everyone was at each others throats. You where even amazed at somebody threatening to kill their very own lover. The thought never crossed your mind, or did it? You look at your partner and you notice the shaking. It is just as bad as yous.

The worst part is that you don't know if what just happened can be considered a success. In the end, most everyone was convinced that Om of the Nom was the enemy. They went to him with knives at hand, and started stabbing. Om didn't really put any fight. iamausername stood there watching how they attacked his companion cube. Close to the end, Om took his own knife and stabbed his own heart... and smiled. The smile was disturbing. It had a sense of satisfaction.

You were selected to search the body. It wasn't easy. The smile was still drawn on the face. The eyes appeared to be staring deep inside you. Uncomfortably, you check the jacket for any clue to his real motive. You find the same message that you received. Was he? ... Then you notice something red in his right pocket. There it was, a message for his true intent. His objective was to eliminate all the participants except for another. It did not say who the other person was, but you were certain that one of the participants has the same message on him. You turn around to check up on them, and there you notice. iamausername slit his own throat and laid there in a pool of blood. The pain for his loss must have been immense. You didn't even notice when he did this. Your partner had already been checking the body and looked at you with sad eyes, and showed you no red message.

He kept saying that his partner was the enemy. That he did not trust him. He said that to prove it he will kill himself, and his lovestruck enemy will follow suite. There seems to be some faulty logic to his method, you think. The events that followed were not to your liking.

Moneybags grabs his knife and stabs himself in the chest. He staggers and stumbles backwards. Greygnarl could not stand and watch. He scurried over to Moneybags and held him in his lap.
- "Why did you do it? Why don't you trust me?" Greygnarl said.
- "Because you are scum!" replied moneybags.
- "But I am not!" Answered Greygnarl tearfully.

Greygnarl took his lovers knife, and proceeded to slice his own throat. They lied there in a Pool of blood. Everyone hesitated for a while until one of participants went to check the bodies. You dared not even get close. They found no red message. It was a sad day for everyone.

It has to be him. Absolutely. There is no way that your own lover was the enemy, you said to yourself. You witness how they bickered until Rainbowdash slid her knife into CF Riot. The scene was horrifying. You cannot believe two people were capable of doing such things.

CF Riot falls to his knees and begs forgiveness and whispers something into Rainbowdash's ear. She breaks down crying. Did she make a mistake. You see as she stabs herself in the heart, falling in CF Roit's embrace in eternal slumber.

Before your lover could react, you step forward and desperately start checking their pockets. You find no red letter. The first thought that crosses your mind was that there was no enemy, but you soon realize your mistake. He is standing behind you. Staring. The pressure from the killing intent is immense. The cold feeling as the knife enters your back. You turn around and look at your lovers gaze. The evil behind his eyes was palpable. "Why?" you ask, not expecting an answer. Then he softly approached you. "It was fun, but my real true love is somewhere else. I am now free."

You lie there watching, as your companion cube stands and walks towards the door. He opens it, and looks back for just one second before leaving and locking the door behind him. Everything starts getting dark. The last thought that went through your mind before letting go was that at the end, you got to experience TRUE LOVE.

He won, but in the end you were both alive. The experiment was over. You both leave with the odd sensation of survival. Before you close the door, you look back and guilt crosses your body. It is something that you and your lover will have to live with for the rest of your lives. THE END.
