Actually, you can't do that, not if you're waiting for your fist game to mod. First timers have to wait for three months, period.

For the mini queues, people who say things like "/mod on March 20th" largely do so because they want to mod but have circumstances that keep them from beginning their game until then.

Both Hoopla and Llama would have a "cycle" of games, so to speak. They'd announce 3 games at first, then add in 2-3 more, and then let all of those fill/be removed before announcing a new set of games. Once the remaining game fills I'm sure Llama will announce 2-3 new games.

It is, but unless you really think you can handle playing in two games at once, I suggest you don't. Granted, I'm only making an assumption based on your join date and the lack of site experience therein (it's too early for you to have completed a newbie unless everyone quicklynched for some reason), but there's nothing other than a mod's own game requirements stopping you.

If it's just going to be a week, I think you can stand to wait that long to get it started.

You should probably be ready to give an update if it'll take longer than that for some reason, and also be ready to hand it off to another mod if necessary.

It really depends on if people are up for Opens. Sometimes it can take months for the current games to fill if no one's interested in the setups or the Open queue. Just gotta be patient.
