AngryPidgeon has been lynched!
Tense discussion gives way to angry shouting, insults and epithets are hurled about without thought for consequence, and the clarity you had after such success in the first day of this experiment quickly gives way to an obscuring mental fog. In the end, a frustrated and exhausted AngryPidgeon helps himself to the final exit and seems to stand waiting for his fate before the heavy steel door which locks you in this prison. The hour is late when it finally opens.
Beyond the portal is a thin man in a lab coat (stained with God knows what slime and viscera), one hand pushing his thin wire frame spectacles up his nose to meet his bushy eyebrows as the other extends to offer respite. "Right this way, you've done so well," he says, and you recognize the formerly disembodied voice of the head researcher. AngryPidgeon takes a hesitant step, then another, through the door and into the mysterious area beyond. "Here, you must be parched. Drink this." When he does, he quickly slumps into the arms of a waiting assistant.
"Get this one prepped for exploratory surgery," the researcher says, all the warmth gone from his voice. "I want to know what went wrong." He looks up at the group of subjects now huddled around the door, listening in horror, and smiles. "Lights out now, my darlings," he says, slamming the door shut in your faces. Moments later the loudspeaker rumbles to life.
"We begin anew at 0700. Prepare yourselves." The lights cut out, and you numbly fumble through the darkness to your cell.
AngryPidgeon -Test Subject- Lynched Day Two
It is now Night Two. Night actions due in 48 hours. Replacing GreyICE.-

Feeling empty, you join the ever shrinking group the next morning (or is it even really morning in the outside world?) when the complex lights up with an all too familiar electrostatic hum. Someone is missing again. You try to focus on the faces, but everyone looks like the same half-dead mess, the same way you must look as well. One more count, just to be sure, confirms that there are in fact only nine people assembled today. The others seems to be cluing into this fact as well, looking every which way for the missing person. It dawns on you to check the cells.
They're clearly labeled, of course, and once you set your mind to it in a matter of moments you find one amiss. The door to Test Subject 6's cell hangs off its hinges, the only clue to his the fate of its former occupant a dark stain on the floor and what looks like gouges left by fingernails as the poor fool was dragged away. You shudder and return to the common room.
"Buenos dias!" The words echo from the loudspeaker. "That means 'Good Morning' in Spanish, my darlings, and a good morning it is indeed." No one moves a muscle. "I see we are feeling a little lethargic today. Well, its to be expected, but I do hope you can all find a way to perform better than yesterday's bitter disappointment." A few grunts of acknowledgment are heard. "At any rate, as those of you who can count already know... with nine alive, it takes five to lynch!"
Jal -Test Subject- Killed Night Two
It is now Day Three.-

Hey, Nacho! Here's some additional tips for ya.
You need to have at least some familiarity with all standard rhythms--in addition to what you're doing, learning some 2-step (especially for quickstep), foxtrot (especially for waltz), cha-cha, and jive will help a bunch. Each rhythm has an aspect to it which is distinct, but all rhythms borrow quite heavily from each other in AT LEAST one dance. (There are also hybrid dances, where mid-way through they switch rhythms. For instance, there's a foxtrot-jive which is quite common, and one dance has THREE rhythms.) The moves' names might be slightly different between rhythms, but the moves themselves don't change much.
But that said, you do need to know more than other rhythms the core aspects of the rhythms you ARE dancing. I'd have to do research to tell you the exacts of each, but I can give you a tip for Rumba, being that it is an EXTREMELY intimate rhythm. Pretty much every single popular rumba dance (such as Carnival) has that very close and passionate aspect to it. You don't need to be intimate with your partner (I certainly am not), but you do need to at least go through the motions as if you were. Awkward as it may be, it's pretty essential for you to have that closeness, to have that intimate flair, to make it look good. If it helps, think of yourself as being an actor on a stage. You're not exactly performing a choreographed and well-coordinated show, but many of the same things apply as if you were.
But most of all...the thing you need in order to succeed at round dancing...is to VOTE: Qwints. My academy.

Hi. I'm replacing GreyICE. I will read the thread as I get time. I meant to do it over the weekend but stuff got busy IRL and other games took priority when I did have the time to get on. I'm in too many games already and only took this one as a favor.
This player list looks spectacular though, so that's a plus.
