Just wait. If there hasnt' been some clarity within 72 hours, feel free to speculate. Otherwise it comes across as more wish fulfillment than anything rooted in fact.

The media gives them way, way too much attention. The reality is that the media puts a spotlight on them in order to make Christianity look bad. The people at Westboro Baptist aren't following the bible.

The media gives attention to the Westboro "Baptists" because they are a freakshow and are ratings gold.

Honestly, what did I say that made you so mad?

Now stop bickering. Because everybody already knows the WBC is beyond stupid,
and everybody already knows the U.S. media sans Fox has a decidedly liberal slant for better or worse.
Again, I beseech thee brethren. Cease mincing words, for this debaucherous thread derail makes little baby Jesus cry in his manger.
Then don't start with such a bullshit statement if you really want people to do so.

Also, "mincing words" doesn't mean what you think it means. Your statement means nearly the opposite of what you intended.

1. It's bullshit because (a) not everyone agrees with that and (b) it's not particularly correct.
2. For a guy who lacks any awareness of boundaries, personal or otherwise, you sure think you have a lot of ability to determine what people discuss and where they do it.
3. Mincing words means to soften the impact of something by speak obliquely and so forth. Commanding others to "cease mincing words" means you want people to be more direct with what they're saying regardless of the impact that has on other people's feelings. In your "go do this elsewhere" wailing, that doesn't make sense.

Anyway, the Ricin thing is interesting. It's a pretty terrible way to off a Senator though. I used to work for a congresswoman right after the Anthrax stuff, but it's always staffers and interns who open and read the mail. The number of letters that were actually read by the person are pretty limited (which doesn't mean it's a futile effort at all, the letters make a difference just in an indirect way). So you're probably just trying to kill a bunch of underpaid early 20s staffers.

When I worked on the Hill, they irradiated all of the mail so that it was literally browned when it got to us like weeks later. You could literally CRACK a stack of papers that were sent.

Did someone say that? The onus is on you if you want to affirmatively state something is happening.

If you inexplicably only get your news from MS, last night one of the bombers was shot and killed after a wild night, the other has escaped. Boston is in lockdown.

The identities of the bombers were Tamerlan and Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev. One was 26 and was killed, the 19-year-old escaped. They appear to be from Kyrgyzstan, though they've lived here for a few years.

In time, we will review the wild speculation in this thread in order to reinforce the fact that just because something makes sense and you want it to be the case, doesn't mean it happened that way.

People aren't really speculating now. There are actual facts that are known. I DO have family there, for what it's worth.

I mean you don't have to mirandize someone unless you want to use what they say in a prosecution.

I think that's a little confused. If they're going to use the public safety exception, they'll do so when trying to introduce evidence. Otherwise, they don't really need an exception. The problem with not falling under the exception is that the evidence is excluded.

yes, i would assume that's the case even if they had not earlier (which I'm not entirely clear on).
