Grats to the scum. Classic case of me seeing clearly as soon as I was dead. I'm not happy with my performance, but the quality of play was pretty subpar across the board. Dismal modding did not help.

There are no formalities at the end. The researchers assemble around the last of the surviving test subjects. "You've made your decision?" the lead researcher asks obsequiously. Uberninja and Malakittens nod, pointing out each other. Loranthaceae swallows nervously before joining Uberninja's side. mastin2 is quick to leap on board. "More's the pity," he says as he doses Malakittnes. She slumps to the ground. "Now that you've proven me so wrong about these pathetic people, would you do the honors and hold them down while I reload?"

Looking back and forth, Lastsurvivor and Loranthaceae realize in horror that he is not talking to them. Uberninja and mastin2 each take hold of one of them in vicelike grips, pinning them despite mighty struggles as the researcher slowly draws clear fluid back into his massive syringe. He steps up to Lastsurvivor first, injecting him in the neck. He goes limp. Loranthaceae mumbles incoherently in terror, alternately begging forgiveness and deluding himself that someone must be playing a trick on him, there's no way he got the last decision wrong, just no way. The lead researcher reloads.

"You were an interesting one to watch," he admits, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose as he approaches. "But in the end, your fate will be the same as all the rest." The tip of the needle on his skin is like a pinprick of searing flame. Loranthaceae lets out of a guttural, desperate scream as he feels consciousness slipping away. He knows it is for the last time.

Awesome play by UN and Mastin. I started off horribly. Mala saw my scum play really well. Being a fast game and on top of that I had to keep a QT updated made this game to much for me.

Oi! I told you to read the mafia QT! The explanation is in there.

Also, the dead QT itself says as much. The entirety of /invitational 15 was after Guile was already dead. It started after Guile was dead, it ended midway through D4. Furthermore, if you look at the timing, you'll realize that I stopped pushing UN as being scum at all immediately after I took the vow. (I didn't say as much since I took the vow while /invitational 15 was still ongoing; it's there in that mafia QT.) The vow was never broken. It simply hadn't existed at the time.

Sorry for flaking guys, I just found myself buried under a mile of shit and ended up just falling on a 'behind treadmill.' The need to keep up essentially two different threads made this game uniquely challenging.

Mastin carried very well though, and basically carried this game from the looks of it. Town worked out... pretty much as I expected. No offense to anyone, but T-bone was basically the only townie I was worried about.

Overall I'd say the setup was heavily scumsided. I would have run it as a 9/2 setup with a backup selected and told, and the scum having a "VT Cop." I think the moderator got locked into 13 people for no particular reason and it cost the setup dearly There was no real penalty for bussing day 1 in this setup due to the lack of town power roles.

Anyway, apologies again for flaking.

It's a thick read, but I'd recommend it.

I think if I had kept on using it past CTD's death then I would have been more into this game. There came a point (probably after P_A town) where I just knew I was being played and didn't care. :/

I think if GreyICE hadn't have flaked he may have gone down. Mala was right about his switch with Adam looked weird but I was lazy to go back. I was right about his fake anger heh. I think our biggest mistake was lynching AP. He didn't have great reads at first, but I think lynching someone other than him would have correctly narrowed down things. AP was starting to move off town and look at others.

Anyone who would have lynched Uber already died.

I'm kinda curious, though. It was mentioned that GI's mind-reader topic said either Junpei or Adam was the mind-reader. I'm wondering what the timestamp of that comment was, since I made that exact conclusion in our mafia QT on D1. (As it turned out, correctly so. For most of D2, I thought it was AP, but by the end I was already thinking it was Nacho thanks to AP's VT claim combined with Nacho's insights into my QT. )
