Congratulations to the Cult. What happened here was that Guyinfreezer was recruited. He was the protector, so he protected AP the same night as he recruited Remembrance. I didn't think this was a likely scenario, but it was provided for. So instead of the normal 2, it meant there were three cultists alive at once.

Still, town basically threw away any chance of winning by failing to lynch twice.

Ya, D1 was exciting, but I feel like people got apathetic shortly after. Partly that and partly 1 week DLs creeping up on people. I didnt even mean for my vote on DB to be after the deadline on D2.

it was still a genius move. since, assuming your recruit went through, you were going to die the next day anyway... or so you should have thought!

the deadlines were short, but I didn't want things dragging out too much. Plus, I had real life reasons to keep the game pretty short.

You mean being martyred? I wasn't sure what GIF would do (although I figured he would more likely not intentionally martyr immediately). But once I discovered the loophole about protecting from martyrdom, that was the only play and I had to try and tell him : P

I really didn't like the lynch system in this game. Just saying. Too much power to the cult that way. It makes a relatively strong role even stronger.

The cult have no way of killing anyone, so if there's an investigative role, town could simply no lynch until they get the results they want.

Seriously though, the lynch mechanic only worked the way it did because town didn't cobble together a majority. That is town's failure.

But a cult is mobile in the fact that it could get two players and wait until the CL was in danger, let him take the fall and simply recruit a new one.

Ill divide thoughts into pros/cons about this cult setup.

1. Being able to protect through the martyr is kinda op.
2. Game is kinda swingy (but I guess thats expected). Would be easier to balance with 13+ people.
3. Week DLs made the game blow by unexpectedly for town.
---
1. Semiopen nature was kind of nice
2. Better than traditional lynch CL to win bit
---

I'd consider giving the cult a factional kill one way or another to speed the game up. But that would likely require more town power / bigger setup.

By the way, not that it matters, but ArcAngel9 has retroactively been modkilled and turned into a neutral survivor. She is now blacklisted from my games.

Black list? that's bit harsh. I am disappointed.
