I was reading the thread, and registered the NUMBER of votes on him, but failed to register that it was only 5 to lynch because I don't often play games this small. It was a derp, and has no bearing on my alignment.

Dr. Pepper is my biggest scumread, but I don't like how klazam didn't reveal his alignment to me. I'm familiar with his play which he might be wary of as scum. It's not like some slam dunk thing, but it bothers my gut.

That's how the day vig worked. That's not necessarily how the (presumable) scum-oriented kill worked. Either way, scum don't have to post when they submit their shit, so that's pretty much horrible logic.

But if it will convince people to kill DoctorPepper, I'll go with that. DoctorPepper's the only one who actually had motive to make that kill as scum anyway.

I am also pretty sure you're just blatantly missing people from that list (Axxle, I think).

Certainly it's possible (even likely) for it to have the same mechanic, but we can't KNOW. And either way, assuming scum posted when they almost definitely had pre-game talk, and PROBABLY had day talk in a game of this mechanic, to strategize is just silly. Who said they even had to wait for day start?

It's an arbitrary limitation, and I doubt we will get much from kill speculation out of this one. For future kills of whatever sort, though, we know they aren't choosing the kills randomly, because they definitely are going off of past posts, and they'll be more informative.

If I were being lazy etc., I could just go with this and 1v1 DrPepper and he'd die, and he'd probably flip scum, but I don't believe in the logic.

Though it's cool if we wanna turn this into 1v1, idc.

Yeah, this is what was happening 40 posts before that. If the 40 post mechanic is relevant (probably), then this matters, but even if not, the context of the game still says Dr. Pepper had the motivation here.

Like I said before, looking at germane discussion and seeing who has motivation to change the game state is far better than making assumptions.

a) I didn't assume 2 -- I assumed multiple because that's standard, and kind of the basis of the game. Although having a lone serial killer game might make sense with this flavor, in hind sight, so whatever. It doesn't matter -- (s)he still got pre-game, if so. I still think it's more likely that it's multiple scum for balance reasons.
b) They wouldn't need to assume THAT exactly. They would be wary of how the mod posts the scene and what he reveals with it, what's revealed upon their own death(s) (though the last isn't applicable if only one), or perhaps some sort of investigative role that might out the mechanic. Smart scum are wary of anything -- and as it happens, there WAS a way that town got to know the mechanic. If I was scum, I would assume the town would figure that out fairly quickly through some means or another. That's usually the case with non-standard kill mechanics.
c) It isn't, actually. And even if we follow your incorrect logic, you'd be in the lynch pool as well. Which, honestly, suits me just fine so if the town agrees to this despite it not making sense I will not cry.

Which means plain and simply, that it was sent in either Post 10 or before (leaving leaway for Rob possibly being AWOL)
