So, as you guys probably noticed, my throne has been toppled and you will all be subjected to the tyranny of Xalxe for however long he can put up with y'all.

But seriously, I've had various health and education problems over the last few months and I can't dedicate as much time in general to MS as I used to. This also means PMS2 won't be happening, at least not any time soon. inspiratieloos has my permission to go ahead and run it if he wishes, but he didn't get back to me on whether he intends to do so. If not, I might return to mod it at some point when life stops being such a bitch to me, but don't hold your breath.

I also haven't been doing anything big in Mafia or Discussion lately, and as some of you will have know I also stepped down as an admin on the MS Minecraft servers, so I'm probably going to take a break from the site as a whole for a while. So until my decidedly unheroic and somewhat anticlimatic return - godspeed, MafiaScum!
(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!

I was waiting for you to officially step down.

In other news: I'm looking for a co-mod to run Planet MafiaScum 2. It would deal mostly with the creative aspects of it, deciding event resolutions based on whatever wackyness the players come up with. I will be dealing with all the less wacky things the players come up with.

For both players and potential co-mods: The mod has the right to make you write your own updates so, unless whoever becomes my co-mod has a urge to do so, the workload won't be near as bad as izak's was during P:MS1. Significant events will be in the format 'Player sends action - Mod decides what's going to happen and tells the player - Player writes their own damn event - mod posts it'.

I do have some ideas for how to run it on my own, but that would cut out some of the more interesting features.

Thanks izak <3 Really appreciate your help on this site :)

In other unrelated news, since someone stole my factions *coughjasonwazzacoughcough* I also have been having an idea for a Fantasy Survivor game...

It would be myself with 4 other players. Before the start of the season, each player chooses two castaways. These players earn points depending on how they perform. If they do well, you earn points. If they suck at life or even get voted off, you lose points.

Examples of things to earn points:
Winning a challenge
Finding a hidden immunity idol
Playing a hidden immunity idol, successfully saving yourself
Going on a reward trip
Getting the second number of most votes in a tribal council (not sure about this one)
Getting no votes in a tribal council
Making the merge

Example of things losing points:
Losing a challenge
Getting votes
Getting voted out
Getting voted out with a hidden immunity idol

Just some ideas for now, but I hope to run this into a game when its closer for survivor to start

Have you seen the version on the CBS website? As I recall their scoring is bizarre (like one point for any time Jeff says your castaway's name) but it sounds interesting. I wouldn't play because of :reasons: but full speed ahead!

In Serious BusinessI'm starting my housekeeping as your new overlord. All threads with a last post older than June 7th have been archived. I'm currently planning to run an archive binge probably once a month unless things get messy.

As I update the Mish Mash List, I have a couple of questions for the community at large:
  1. Does anybody use the "In Signups" section, or can I remove that? With me planning on a weekly update of the OP, that will get out of date fast.
  2. Upcoming Games will probably list things unless it's been more than, say, a month since anybody said anything about it. Survivor games/other larges I'll play by ear on, but if you announce that you want to run a game of Risk and it's been a month I'll pull you from the upcoming. I suppose this is less of a question and more of an announcement but whatever.
  3. Does anybody object to renaming the Auxillary forum? If so, would the community prefer "Frogstar World B" or "Total Perspective Vortex?" If it's about split/people don't care I'm abusing my power to pick the Frogstar.
  4. Is there anything the community would like me to do that wasn't done before and that doesn't implement any sort of rigid system of things? I won't make promises but if you want me to add anything to my list of jobs, now's the time to speak up.
And, in order to begin a tradition, to reward the community for reading my long-ass posts when I make them, I will include a cute animal at the end of the post. You're welcome.

Spoiler: Here is a cute bunny

Of the two, I like Frogstar, but maybe something like World 1-2 would work?

I like the Total Perspective Vortex actually.
And if you're going to be updating every week then I don't think having the In Signups thing is necessary as long as the upcoming games are up to date. Really all I ask of you is keeping things current.
