I am considering going to the games shop locally for Friday Night Magic. Just thought I'd let you know...

I am intrigued.

It's a trap, Oman! MTG is an unreal realm, fraught with annoying fat kids, tryhards, and never ending money sinks!
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Current list:

4 Tragic Slip
2 Angelic Wall
2 Capashen Knight
4 Syndic of Tithes
4 Basilica Screecher
4 Sign in Blood
4 Tithe Drinker
2 Basilica Guards
2 Griffin Sentinel
4 Stab Wound
4 Murder
4 Kingpin's Pet

4 Orzhov Guildgate
8 Plains
8 Swamps

SB:
3 Ethereal Armor
3 Pacifism
2 Celestial Flare
2 Contaminated Ground
2 Dark Favor
3 Devour Flesh

~~

I get mulched by Flickergate and need to get some idea how to stop it.

Idea #1: Up the Contaminated Grounds to four and side them in, throw them on Gates to try and slow/prevent gatekeepers from going off
Idea #2: Get even more aggressive, pull the walls and sentinel griffins; add Rakdos Shred-Freak for BB as a 2/1 Haste creature and attack!
Idea #3: Up the toughness of my creatures... Vanguard's Shield, downside is slow and does nothing to stop Devour Flesh/Murder just the Black Gatekeeper
Idea #4: Add Undying Evil in response to mudering, bring back my creatures even stronger than before

Any other ideas?

Because my curve is super low to get as many extorters on the board and hit as many triggers as I can and Seraph is a four drop of which I have none. Additionally I have enough life gain so the lifelink isn't super useful so we're talking a 2/4 flyer for 4. It's too slow against aggro decks and against Flickergate I need removal and I need speed as far as I can tell because I'm not going to win once they begin flickering and it doesn't offer either of those things, it offers a body that a single black gatekeeper can't kill but between Murder, Slip, and Devour there's enough black ways to remove it and with multiple flickers it's way dead.

Cremate / Beckon Appiration work wonders, hit their ghostly in response to the Archomancer trigger.Much more reliable then trying to add beatdown / contimained grounds.

Just completely changed my deck one day before my match is scheduled:

4x Ubul Sar Gatekeepers
4x Saruli Gatekeepers
4x Ogre Jailbreaker
1x Liliana's Shade
2x Crocanura
2x One-Eyed Scarecrow
2x Grave Exchange
4x Murder
4x Victim of Night
4x Devour Flesh
2x Tragic Slip
4x Sign in Blood
4x Dimir Guildgate
4x Simic Guildgate
4x Golgari Guildgate
7x Swamp
1x Forest
1x Island
1x Evolving Wilds

SB
3x Essence Scatter
2x Psychic Strike
2x Bloodhunter Bat
2x Dead Weight
2x Natural End
4x Beckon Apparition

So I guess this is Flickerless Flicker. The deck is intended to take advantage of some of Flicker's synergies, without being dependent on them. Most of the deck is dedicated to killing my opponent's stuff so I can drop a 4 drop. I have Crocanura and Scarecrow in the main since my weakest matchup is Delver.

Dude, you lose SO much versatility by cutting the flickers. Being able to win your way back into the game with a single Saruli on board is nuts.

Also, in the best case scenario, Jailbreaker is a 4/4 for 4 with no evasion or trample. You can do better.

any reason mist raven/blindhunter bat didnt make the cut?

Also, I think you should reverse the numbers for tragic and murder.

Also, 4/4 for 4 in pauper is actually a house. There's like one thing that trades with it straight up, and that requires 3 mana.

Jailbreaker is fine; if you've got a better suggestion, I'm open to it. I wanted a more controlling deck that didn't rely on Archaeomancer, and Ghostly Flicker gets worse if you don't abuse Archaeomancer.

Mist Raven didn't make it in because it costs double blue, which I didn't want to pay. Bloodhunter Bat is in the side.

Also, it's hilarious watching my opponents hold onto their negates because they're waiting for Flicker that's never coming.

Won my first match!

Lost the second game when I kept a 6 card hand with only one island, but with a thought scour and a think twice in hand on the draw. Several turns later I've been beaten down and only have a second island to show for my efforts. Games 1 and 3 played out similarly, with him racing out to an early lead before my burn stabilised the board and my frostburn weirds slowly chunked him down while he desperately dug for more gas to finish off the last few points of damage. It eventually featured frostburn weird going full on abyss mode. Was fun!

Lost a mirror match. Don't like to complain, but G1 I literally drew 11 lands in a row while my opponent beat me in the face, and g3 I had to mull to 5 to get a land in my hand. So I'm not sure if that result means I have too many lands or too few.

Hey DDD, still looking for a playset of Geists?

Also, do you have anything interesting up for trade? I may do it for a playset of Deathrites if you'd be able to spare them.

Trust me, I don't have anything worth trading that I'm willing to trade for some Geists as much as I'd like them.

Not for deathrites though, since I think those are going up and I think Geist will drop significantly when it rotates. It's played in modern and legacy but not nearly at the same level deathrite is.
