Uh, I backed down from lynching your slot because cooperation is tech. I listened to people I had town reads on, like Fate, who were calling your slot town. It's on you if your slot couldn't prove its town motivation on its own. Probably a pretty difficult task in a tri-person hydra; I wouldn't tri it (hue).

You break eggs to lynch scum? I am sorry it was Axxle though, because rereading made me see town things he did. Would have been fun to have him in this game and I think his slot would have town-telled even more if given appropriate time opportunity.

Making people feel bad about their mistakes is bad tho, because then they'll be afraid to make mistakes in the future. Jesus.

I think that's everything if Mina finally got the role pms posted as the mafia qt should be/is in them.


Matt did enough to win, he towned pretty hard on Day 1 and managed to stay out of the limelight from then on.

Zdenek/Fate were probably the 2 better town players for me, Fate's turn around on Day 2 was very well done and Zdenek had generally good reads/seemed to well upon replacing in.

Thanks to everyone for playing, and thanks to the replacements for replacing into an unfamiliar game. Really appreciate it.

Sorry about my outburst. Like I said, I really did go against my own advice to just be lynched D2. I always say that people rung up/in the limelight for multiple days in a row should go early, and I should've just let that happen to us instead of town-telling in the only way I knew how. =/

Making people feel bad about their mistakes is bad tho, because then they'll be afraid to make mistakes in the future. Becoming emotionally invested in your mistakes and somehow conflating them with your value as a person/player is bad news. EVERYONE will be wrong on the way to being right.

I'd ruled out Greaterest Idea (i.e., the way that MattP would be scum) because Amrun had already kinda flipped that. (Emphasis on kinda.) It's like giving 2 scum the same role in a theme game.

OH WELL. I feel bad that we were doing so well and then I was around toward the end. My posting on site has been more limited lately because I am obsessed with FFXIV. Sorry @ everyone.

I'm sad because I didn't want to be mad at this game, and there were multiple point where this game really upset me, and I didn't know how to counteract that. The only reason I didn't enjoy this game as much as I could've was because of me, not because of anyone else or the mods. Tremendous jobs, mods. Game, sorry we didn't help in the end.

But maybe Greatest Idea was retconned into Greaterest Idea after we used "one is role one is alignment" as Greatest? I think the Pikachu stuff was originally Greatest Idea when it was just the original group prior to the horde arriving over the weekend (i.e., because Greatest Idea-with-role/alignment had not been "invented" yet).

Pedit: I don't think getting mad at MattP makes much sense. If people had been more active we might have PoE'd him (myself included obvs).

It's not really convoluted at all? Greatest Idea, is like an established thing with a wiki page. If you're thinking of memorable mafia games, the singer troll game definitely springs to mind with the other 2 you mention here *shrug*. I feel the flavour was fine, at the very least not comparable to something like giving the mafia 2 of the same role.

I mean, I'm fully aware I'm biased b/c obviously I was involved at the creation, but it's not like it's some zany unexpected imposibility shock twist. It seems a reasonably obvious choice for a mafia role.

And yeah, it seems like town did converge on the scum for the middle days but couldn't pull it together and matt's inactivity let hims skate by.

We couldn't actually implement the pikachu as an actual role + it felt kind of silly/mechanically weird and it'd have to be changed too much to make it a role I'd be okay with in a mafia game so we sort of just didn't really use it in that respect.

Well, to be fair, he's telling the truth. His action was between you, Matt, and KK. The main reason he chose you was because he thought Matt would be lynched and KK had been on an all-scum wagon.
