Could we potentially do the draft earlier on Sunday? I'm in the UK teaching so 7pm Eastern is Midnight my time. any chance we could do like 3pm EST/8pm my time?
That game made me sad. I played Reimer over Emery in my other league, and then he goes and gets knocked on the head 20 seconds in. Then Bernier does stupid shit like this.
In one year, they swapped out two A-class goalies to end up with Eddie Lack and Jakob Markstrom. I don't envy Vancouver. The Panthers on the other hand are rapidly becoming more legit.
I'm betting it'll be Seattle, and then Las Vegas or something to make it a 16/16 split. I've also heard rumours of Quebec City getting a new team, which would likely shove Detroit or Columbus back to the West
I still can't bring myself to cheer for the Canadiens. I'm personally piling on the St Louis bandwagon this year, they deserve a Cup. Dallas would be cool too, if only because I kinda hate Anaheim.
Wild rout Blackhawks in 6.
Reasons: If Colorado 3-1'd Chicago in the regular season, and the Wild ousted them in 7 games, Chicago might have to throw everything they got at them.
Ducks best Kings in 6.
Reasons: Ducks start with home-ice, and they have a better record than the Kings by a stretch. This is the playoffs, though, and it could go either way. Kings will be tired after having to reverse-sweep the Sharks.
------
Eastern Conference:
Montreal pulls down Boston in 6.
Reasons: This will be a tough series for either team. It could easily go to 7 games, but Montreal has ways of dealing with higher-seeded teams.
Rangers skate by Pittsburgh in 5.
Reasons: Pittsburgh had a struggle with a very underrated Columbus team in 6 games. I don't doubt the Pens will win, but I can see the Rangers overpower the Pens.

Who do you guys have for Round 2?
-----
P-Edit: Boston won the cup in 2011. I remember repeatedly seeing the commercial for Boston Bruins championship gear.
Wild over Chicago in 6
Kings over Ducks in 5
Montreal over Boston in 7
Pittsburgh over New York in 6
Then Kings over Wild, Montreal over Pittsburgh, Montreal over LA for the Cup (a Canadian boy can dream, damn it)
I think Minnesota can beat Chicago as long as Chi doesn't take a 2-game lead off the bat, same for MTL/Boston. LA/Anaheim is weird, but I don't see the series going past 5. Pittsburgh/New York is the one I'm most excited to watch.

I swear Pacioretty has hollow bones, like a bird. That fall into the corner was really awkward though. Hopefully nothing's actually hurt and he can recover before playoffs start
It's either Habs in 7 or Lightning in 5. Don't see it going any other way, tbh. Montreal's offense is hella weak, and they haven't really shown up this series. Stamkos finally picking up a goal is rough too.
Didn't expect them to get downed THAT quick. Brooms. 7 remain.

Rhinox, they still could have won if their other players contributed more. They KNEW with an injured squad, they'd have to pull their weight. Crosby played well. Fleury showed up, Malkin and Perron did stuff too, and so did half of the team. Halfsies are never enough.
---
Meanwhile the Rangers are just stepping all over the Caps tonight...there might be a Game 7 this round.
---
bv, I'm rooting for the Bolts to take revenge. They play Game 6 like it's an elimination game, Habs are finished.

Who thinks the Flames might pull through tonight?
I'm a casual MTL fan, and I'd be perfectly happy even if Tampa wins. Both teams are fun to watch (when they show up)
I'd honestly be amped if Calgary eliminated Anaheim, but I just don't see it happening.
