Nonono.

Desperado's first push reeked of scum influence. The second one wouldn't have reeked nearly as much as it did if the first didn't happen.

Are you trying to suggest that your slot is immune from suspicion or something? And do you typically OMGUS this blatantly?

The group re-entered the prison, sulking, mad, sad. They just lost two people, but they just kind of slowly becoming numb to the fact people were dying, but no matter how numb they try to make it be, they will always feel the sorrow and hurt of losing loved ones. The discussion today, will be fierce.

It wasn't long until Shane was finally accused of being a traitor of the group. His violent and aggressive manner has been un-tolerable in the past few days, and with each each passing night he became more fidgety, more unhinged, more.... insane. Shane was always one for theatrics and making a point, but when they put their suspicions on him, his response was violent in every manner. When they decided they would take him out, they didn't even attempt trying to seize him, afraid his athletic and physical prowess would break someones bones. Shane hopelessly tried to fight for his life, but the group put three bullets through his chest before Shane drew his pistol, and his body fell, hard.

Staggering like a drunk, Philip moved into the cell block with a pistol in his hand. Only a couple hours ago, he was forced to shoot his last and closest ally, Shane. He was mad, he was sad, he was disappointed. He wanted so much more but got so much less, and yet he feels like it's not his fault. Feeling resentment and not much else, he staggered into the cell block and almost fell over, his breath stinking of liquor. He drunk quite a bit before deciding to pull this stunt. To his surprise, Philip met nobody in the cell block but Merle.

Merle emerged from the shadows of a cell block, that cocky grin on his face. At the sight of Philip, he cocked his head to the side, smiling even wider, exposing the pistol in his own hand. Philip simply stared, not sure if he felt fear or he just did not care.

" Hershel... if that even is your name, how about you and I have a little chat, see if your friend Shane is still your butt buddy? "

Philip shook his head.

" No. "

In a scene of slight of hand, Philip emptied three rounds through Merle's stomach, but Merle was just as quick, and put two bullets into Philips chest. The two men crumpled, bleeding and screaming in pain. As Merle rolled to his side, he looked at Philip and grinned, proud of himself for doing this one thing right.

Left there all by himself, Philip stared at the ceiling as the rest of the group flooded into the room, but Merle already did his job, Philip was dead.

gg town
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

A risk, but a worthwhile one, shame it didn't pan out.
I felt constantly betrayed by my partners in this game :(

Ah well, still a mostly fun adventure, just stressful.

Yeah, the mechanics worked out really well and felt, for the most part, balanced.
Flavor was excellent too - I give the whole design two thumbs up.

I'm fine with it if the others are. If even one is iffy on releasing it than I support not releasing it.

@ Thor: That's kind of unfortunate because on paper I feel like your team looks really talented--very little playstyle overlap, decent to boss-level charisma for all of you. Losing Chess to the zombies N1 really screwed you guys I think.

The Chess loss was bad, but I sort of feel a combination of town and scum defeated scum in this game.
I'm not sure if I agree with mastin that town was OPed as the zombie kills were pretty gruesomely pro scum on the whole and clearly the herders had limited control at best.
Probably simply with Mafia able to exact powers *and* target kills would make it balanced in anyone's mind I'd like to think.

I think Mastin's opinion there was colored by the fact that he thought TIP was a legit cop. Without that in the game the power distribution is actually really good, especially with scum being immune from zombie kills unless targeted.

It's hard for a scum team to win when one gets vigged N1, another gets lynched without a fight D2, and a third busses a fourth with a fake cop guilty D4. You and Mastin might have had a chance if TIP just lets himself get lynched.

I do think Day 1 was fairly integral for setting town on the right path.

Most definitely. I've never seen a town come together that quickly and that accurately. It's not really surprising that Thor was the only infiltrator of that D1 town block.

Maybe, I will say Vig + 2x Pseudo Vig + Ability to bring back a Vig/Pseudo Vig ranked pretty high in my 'what the hell am I supposed to do about this?' universe considering that Night 2 scum were having to debate about which power not to use.
I do think free ability to use the night kill would make it a better balance considering how tight scum's situation is if even one of them is caught early game.
Much less, y'know, three ;)

Other than that I liked all the mechanics.
I'll agree the cop claim was not optimal for us.
