its very situational. hotd rush is very powerful IF your team has a strong early position and you can secure some early jungle or ancient stacks. katsukis jsut mad that i play carries greedy as fuck.
however, if you are not stacking with the hotd youve wasted 2000 gold until you drop another 4k to make it a satanic, and then its a 6k waste unless thats your 3rd or 4th item.

Hotd first is a more greedy build that only works if you plan on farming. However, you have to either have good teammates/teamcomp that can play 4v5, or opponents that don't know how to punish hotd. It's very bad for fighting early on though due to how squishy Luna is.
However, if nothing happens in the first 20mins, hotd will shine because youve been doing nothing but farming (aka, fatter due to better farming).

Thanks for the suggestion, her learning curve isn't very steep lol. I've been largely just continually pushing with her and trying to take towers even if it ends up trading myself for the tower. I've found that as long as I get my full duration ult off dying isn't so bad because I don't need many items and I'm fairly useless without my ult anyways.
Thoughts on leaving silence at level 1 and putting points into stats boost after maxing Q,E,R? I've found that I really need stats just to help tank up and reduce my mana issues and level 1 silence still does the trick.

I always max silence. 6 seconds is deadly, whereas the trade off would be +6 all stats, which is just some 109 hp, ~1 armor, 6 atk speed, 6 dmg and... 78 mana?
But yeah DP is fun.

Furion off lane, Pugna middle, Mirana supporting Morph Safe lane, Bloodseeker jungle/support?
They probably went aggressive so maybe reverse the off and safe.

We ended up with Mirana off, BS mid, Morph safe and pug/furion dual jungle. We had to switch mirana and morph around to dodge their trilane after scouting (they were running safe-tri while we thought they would be running aggro-tri like they did in game 1). Original plan was for pug to safe-jungle, while furion took dire-jungle, but I was afraid of their ward scouting it out so it got aborted.
Game was for AD2L... apparently some 400 ppl were watching. I watched part of the replay, and luckily the caster didn't ever focus on my fail jungling (but he pointed out my very late 13-min midas >.>)

Anyone notice something weird with the MMR recently? I've only lost a couple games over the last couple days and I'm starting to get a bit paranoid lol. Also, that bug where you couldn't see your recent games was annoying.
Sure a lot of pro games with an Ember spirit in them lately. I don't really see him winning a lot of his games though, why does he keep getting picked up?

There is two very different ember spirits in pro play at the moment. Here's a very short but decent break down on why teams like C9 are rolling people on Ember and why other teams are completely being destroyed when they pick Ember.

Haven't seen SoF build yet, but I would imagine it would weaken your early game killing potential?
As for embers losing, he won a lot when he first came out, and naturally, pros have found ways to counter him. Ember is incredibly squishy (has terrible stats gains), and if you can lock him down he's as good as dead. There was a liquid vs navi game where xvost ember got shut down hard by tinker + beastmaster + naix combo (mainly first 2 locking down and naix hitting away). Naix also because he could infest for their global ganks.
Another example would be a game I played last night, where an ember was stomping my team, but couldn't do anything late-game because I could just blink in and abyssal him as an ursa, and blow him up before he could move.

I mean it's still a 300 damageish nuke every 8 seconds at max level as opposed to a 80 damageish one at level 1. I max it first most of the time to try to help burst people down when we go on them in lane.

Do you really have the mana to use it often enough to really gain benefit from maxing it? If you want damage it seems that critical strike does a better job.

I was building standard boring stuff like Treads, Armlet, Drums with BKB or going towards AC if I was doing good.

My success with Wraith King is not "great" by any means so feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt. (I think thats the right expression)
I like Phase better than Treads because I find that most heroes are a hell of a lot faster than Wraith King and he gets kited. I've never really thought to go Treads/Drums, and I guess that would work, but Wraith King really needs that Armlet because assuming he's having a normal game, he will be doing shit for damage until he gets it. I normally go like Phase > Soul Ring > Armlet > BKB > AC/Heart.
This is of course assuming we're not support Wraith King

I forget who, but I think it was my friend who ran force-staff/blink SK before he ever got his name change. It was lolzy (and presumably even more viable now given his ult-buff and blink buff).
