Something's horribly goofy in all of this, JEEP: I cannot edit any of my own game threads (Newbies 315, 316, and 321, Mafia 62 in New York). The message is specifically saying that "only
moderators
can edit posts in this forum".

Correct; I can lock/unlock via the button at the bottom of the page.

mith: That's fine, but let's change the descriptor to 'List Moderator' (possibly with a link to the wiki page) then, if that's the goal. Since about 40% of our players are actively modding some game in some forum at any given time, I'd guess, it makes sense to get rid of the color, will just take some getting used to.

I've noticed that you can no longer lock your game thread while making the first post (probably because the forum doesn't think you have rights to edit it). Not a big deal since you can do it as soon as the post goes through, but I got caught by a CPU quota error this morning in the middle of this and thought I'd mention it.

You can lock it from any post in the thread once it's created (incl. the first post), just not during post creation. Sounds like you may have a lead, though...

His last post anywhere was on the 26th, and his last post in the game was on the 24th. I'm happy to restate that as "co-mod/backup" if he's able to make it to the site, but he was complaining about having a bad week and then vanished. I've already replaced him in TRTR...
Maybe I'm jumping the gun, I've just watched the game stumble lately, and had already offered...I'm not trying to beat up on Zindy, just keep the players involved before it dies off completely.
Probably not nessecary, as the original mod has suddenly returned.
The mod has left again, leaving the thread locked in night and me as the back-up mod
Requesting mod powers, thanks.
In the meantime, I've unlocked it for you; if you give me what the first post needs to change to, I can help with that too until JEEP gets you the powers you need.
This is a standing offer for anybody in this thread, by the way, if you need power to lock/unlock ASAP. As a List Mod, I think I can edit any game thread; just PM me because I don't actually read this thread very often.

Right now, we're only doing backup powers (which is really thread-owner powers) if the original mod is V/LA or AWOL. Are you going V/LA, or is this just a just-in-case?
