I've preordered. Obviously going to play a healing class, because that's what I do, but haven't decided which one yet. As a side note, I found a raiding guild for people with jobs, so basically like ex-hardcore raiders who now don't have the time but still want casual-competitive raiding (aka we kick people for standing in the derpfire or doing 50% of optimal DPS, but we don't insist players spend 40 hours a week in game)

We're planning on an EST PvP server, Dominion side (http://wildstarkarma.enjin.com/ if you're interested).

I'm not sure if we've got the full list of names yet, but since the requirements are so extremely specific, there should really only be 1.

I assume you mean like Touhou spellcards (for reference: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Perfect_C ... ds/Stage_4) (yes, one hit kills you and yes they're as hard as they look)

I think that bullet hell is a great model. WOW had far too little movement except for a few fights. Mostly it was just gear and spam at the right times.

Given that it's worked for years in Eve, I'm unsure as how that logic functions.

It's basically a legitimate method of Gold buying, but without the major negative effects of Gold buying (the account hacking/phishing and botting).

But if I've learned anything from MMOs it's that there will always be someone who wants to complain about the business model, even if their suggestion boils down to "give me everything for free, then pay me to play"

I'm pretty certain spellslinger takes the highest skill in terms of healing. So much of the medic's power is in auras. Although I REALLY like that they have different forms of difficulty

Medic
- Positioning. With so many short range heals, the medic requires good awareness to not get deep fried by various abilities. Easy stuff? Focus management (default heal costs 0 focus once you drop low, goodbye "mana problems").

Spellslinger
- Target management. While medics have AOE heals, Spellslingers have to aim. Goes double for long range skillshot heals (especially in movement heavy fights). Easy? Their positioning is much easier, since they have ultra-long range, and they can Gather Focus if they ever fuck up and run out (although that's a bit of a risky ability).

Esper
- Focus. Management. Most of their healing comes from their finishers, and their finishers are all focus intensive. That means they're prone to running out of focus at terrible times. They get exactly one "oh shit" button for more focus, then they're SOL.

TLDR: Different challenges, different focuses, good balance.

I dunno, I think the chart undersells Medic's focus management. I mean Emission costs 0 Focus if you're under 250. Zero. That's a pretty nice buffer on "I messed up with focus."

It does give you a great fallback though. I mean the other two healers, you run out of Focus, you're like "well, derp", and either press a button and stand still for 5 seconds, or try and use this weird gemming system to get some back. Medic, you can just be like "oh okay, w/e" and keep healing while your focus regens (healing while focus regens) and they do have a focus restore cooldown anyway.

And Emission is a damn good bread & butter heal.
