Mostly because I had a long conversation on my radio show a few weeks back about this, and about what a town is supposed to do when a moderator doesn't deal with a problem player/chronic VI-type player, and we came to the conclusion that it's the playerlist's job to moderate it if the mod won't, and that sometimes lynching a slot that'll cause problems (regardless of alignment) is the most pro-town thing to do D1.

The thing is there aren't that many different races in the game, so some of them have to be doubled up. If there's more than one Rockman, that means the "SK" could potentially just not win the game if they were stuck with Rockmen at the end

I don't think that "hot and bothered" fits my mood, but I specifically remember you being anti-NK analysis back then. So why are you trying to use that as a way to get me to wagon Espresso?

The focus on ABR is because I think I'll be constantly wanting to lynch him. I did a skim through the game over N1 and convinced myself that I was NOT going to let ABR get away with it, but then I got all pussyfooted the second D2 started. My vote on him is a signal to myself that I'm not going to let him live after the way he treated the D1 lynch.

Jargo was a really weird, vague face in the crowd and whenever I saw his name I remember thinking, "Eh, I'd maybe lynch it". I haven't done anything particularly constructive towards solidifying my read on him. myko made me feel weird with part of his catchup post, but I thought I made it pretty clear my "scumread" on myko is nothing but reasonless gut and I probably won't be pursuing it. (I also find Juls' subsequent vote on him a bit odd, and am waiting for a response).

I would still lynch Beli or Espresso, though I think the half-assed claim from Espresso is going to make it much harder to push that lynch through today.

I don't know, this is an Izzy game. I'm not sure how much we should consider the design process. However, I think given the races in FTL, multiple Rockmen being semi-BP seems fine. Especially if this is a ridiculously not-town-sided setup, I could see her making some of the town immune to certain types of kills.

open up the game both wagoning on Aronis/Juls. Unlikely that Venrob!scum would sheep his buddy onto a town wagon, which makes it unlikely that ABR is scum. Ugh.

Mid-day wagon on Espressojet features fitz, Kuragin, and TSO -- all dead townies. Worth nothing.

Meanwhile,

Jargonaut

spends the day bussing his buddy (Venrob), while Venrob keeps his vote parked on Aronis aka Juls. This makes me think it's unlikely Jargo was bussing Venrob while Venrob bussed Aronis while Aronis bussed Venrob. Willing to call other Venrob wagoners - Aronis/hito - town for now, since I don't think this was some weird double bus to crazytown.

Aronis now leaves the Venrob wagon when Beli (deadtown) opens up the opportunity to wagon ABR. Need to read a bit more on reasoning behind the switch, making a mental note. I join the wagon on Venrob. Venrob leaves his vote parked on Aronis. Pasch/Espresso both sit on Kuragin votes (deadtown). I still think Aronis is town despite the wagon hop, because Venrob was just camped out on him.

Then, the dueling wagons emerge: ABR vs Venrob. Two dead townies (TSO/Kuragin) were the only ones not on those wagons. Final scum lynch wagon D1:

Take out the dead players and you're left with:

Jargo was already the first vote and drove the long bus on Venrob. What are the odds both scum were willing to bus hard D1? I'm not finding it pretty likely, and I'm finding it more likely that the other scum was sitting on the ABR wagon, hoping the votes would catch up. Jargo was stuck on the bus he started, but another player... another glimmering ray of hope... could try to counterwagon the scumlynch. The ABR wagon was:

Beli (deadtown), Aronis, Pasch, Espressojet

Beli is town. Aronis is unlikely to be scum based on Venrob voteparking there most of the day, along with the weird double double bus situation from earlier. Pasch has now claimed vigilante, so even if he's lying, he's at least the serial killer, which makes him not aligned with the Jargo/Venrob team.

So, that leaves... Espressojet.

Now, this is all obviously a theory. It's

assuming

that Aronis is town due to the voting patterns of his buddies, and it's

assuming

that both Jargonaut AND the last scum wouldn't bus Venrob hard D1 and would at least try to counterwagon. But, following those assumptions, it means it basically HAS to be Espressojet at this point.

Espresso hits L-1, claims the semi-BP bullshit. I don't think this claim holds weight now, given that certain racial passives give bulletproofness... AND, Espresso, as scum, would likely know about the kill method and that it can be stopped by Rockmen. It's not a stretch to think that he is, in fact, a Rockman himself and that's how he has the information.

Ok I am phone posting so bear with me. The reason I preferred a Pasch kill to a lynch was that the off chance that Pasch is a SK then we would not be shooting ourself in the foot with a lynch. (Lynch + 2 kills = fail town)

The reason I believe Pasch is that there have been 2 kills per night (so at least a 3 man scum team since we had two shots last night). There is no fucking way we have a 3 man team, SK, and survivor! That legit means 8v3v1v1. That would be a bs setup. Since no one CC'd Pasch she is confirmed town. It also makes hito look awful because he is still pushing Pasch as a SK and he didn't kill last night in hopes of a split. I don't want you in lylo in the event that you are gambiting as scum. Sorry. 12:00PM, August 3. I wake up with people still milling about at my house. We spend the day cooking and recovering and playing board games. I crash early because I have to work on Monday.

8:00AM, August 4. I'm at work first thing in the morning and catching up all day on my boss being on vacation the previous week. I don't get off until 4PM.

4:30PM, August 4. I go and look at a house as a potential new residence. I then come home and sit down with AGar + new roommate to discuss location, and housing preferences. We then play a board game and talk for a bit.

11:13PM, August 4. I finally log back into my computer and realize I was in a mafia game that I hadn't checked in days. I definitely looked at MS, but my bookmarks didn't show any new posts in this game thread, so I ignored it. Not having been checking QTs in months, I didn't even think to check QTs, so I forgot.

Believe me, or not. I don't give a fuck if you want to say OH YOU SHOULD'VE LOOKED, I didn't, because I had a social life omg. I even posted in my QT and said "Fuck, I fucked up, fuck!" or something after I realized what happened. To be fair, it wouldn't have mattered anyway, because Fishy died.
