In this game, a number of players will be candidates in an election, whilst the rest will be voters. The candidate who gets the most votes will be named president. The candidate with the second most votes will be named prime minister. Finally, the candidate with the fewest votes will be declared an enemy of the people.
To help the candidates know where they stand, there will also be two polls, during the game.
- The following five players are the initial candidates: goodmorning, Klick, Blackberry, PrivateI and Shiidaji.
- Any other players may also choose to be candidates, if they so wish. All those who wish to be candidates have one day from now to announce this in-thread. However, there must be at least one voter, so if there are 14 candidates, the last person cannot be a candidate.
- Once the game begins, any candidate can choose to step down from the race and become a voter, by announcing their intention to do so, in-thread. However, once only three candidates remain, none of them may step down.
- Candidates cannot vote during the polls or the election (as they are assumed to automatically vote themselves).
- Each candidate will be given 20 chips, bearing their name.
- Once the election is over, the chips bearing the names of the president and prime minister will be exchanged for money. Each player holding such chips will receive $20,000 for each chip bearing the president's name and $10,000 for each chip bearing the prime minister's name.
- The candidate who comes last and becomes the enemy of the people is eliminated from the tournament. Their account funds will be recorded as their score, and if this amount is positive, it will be distributed equally amongst the remaining players (rounding to the nearest thousand).
- In the case of a tie, a secondary election will be held, to resolve it. If the tie is not resolved, the result will be decided with a die roll.
- As in the previous game, votes can be sent in by PM, announced in-thread, or stipulated in contracts. The same rules regarding votes apply: contractual votes take precedence over all others, and in-thread votes take precedence over PM votes. Furthermore, a vote cannot be changed once it is made, except by making a "stronger" type of vote.
- The first poll will take place three days after the game begins. The second poll will take place two days after that. The final election will take place two days after that. You will have 48 hours to make your votes, during each of these voting periods.
- Private communication is allowed throughout this game.
