You can bait out stuff with doppelgang and dodge even if they have detection though, which is cool.

I havent tried the new PL yet, but with the old dopple you could micro it and have it running off in a different direction as if you got caught out, can you do that with the new skills?

Either ways i have no idea how PL is suppose to be useful with 8sec illusions lol

the spawn chance is 50% now
they come up way more. It's kinda like......you get a bunch of extra hits for less damage? I played it in bots, but it wasn't as good imo. But it still seems KINDA workable

They're different. TB doesn't doesnt have the same early game survivability that PL has.

Ness has a better gap closer with Reality Rift that also brings all of his illusions which do like 12903819023890 damage instantly, a decent to good stun, and crit on illusions that actually do a lot of damage. Just as easy to bait spells onto phantasm illusions and he is strength so he has better early game.

He can't flash farm but he can get kills with considerably less than most 1 position carries and start pushing down towers. You only want to be farming for 10-15 minutes then go wrack up kills.

CK is next to impossible to play in a pub, you need proper coordination to play him. After that, CK needs too many items to actually be that useful in a teamfight. He has severe mana problems early on. He is also next to useless if you're plyaing from a defensive position.

In short too many problems with CK and too many other heroes with stronger lane presence AND that come online earlier.

I think CK has great lane presence. It's
really
easy to get kills in a dual or trilane with one other support with a stun, and he's tanky and builds tank. I think he is more useful in a multicore line-up than as the subject of a 4-protect-1.

I'm a little biased because he's been one of my favorite heroes since the guinsoo era though.

His lane presence is shit unless the support is there. Even then if the offlane knows what they're doing, they won't die. You really need the support to whittle them down before killing, and when your supports have the responsibility of rotating all over the place they're often times not in lane when ganking mid etc. Other problem is that in first 5 mins you probably have 2 chances to kill max without mana regen, which is hardly a threat if you fail to kill after one rift+stun combo. His laning is weak and you really need either CM or soulring, with CM having been nerfed hard (my friend and I called the CM pick at TI3 finals because we ran CK/CM so often XD). You are very correct that CK performs far better in a multi-core than 4p1.

I will admit I haven't played much dota over the past 3months and probably haven't played a CK game in over half a year at least, but it always felt that CK worked much better at lower MMRs but didn't work well at higher skill levels when the opposing offlane knows how to handle a CK lane.

How is offlane pudge better than say, offlane WK?

and how will you ever get levels on pudge you'll be zoned into oblivion (plus squishy)

If I were up against an offlane pudge as a support, I'd be sitting behind the creepwave all day daring you to get near. You'd neither be able to pull nor get exp. Same principal as playing against WR/DS/Mirana

It did. First time playing I got lost in dire offlane running away from 5 into trees instead of to mid. At least no one chased me. XD

Also new PL blows, farm sucks. The style may fit some ppl but im too used to the rhythm I'd settle into with old PL.
