Welp.
Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm
Strongly opinionated or barely invested, but a constant
You know the wind will always come back.

Can roles with objectives which aren't just "survive" win even if they personally die?

So.
A lion was sighted in the forest, and therefore must be in the field this round.
A crocodile was sighted in the forest, and therefore must be in the river this round.
An eagle was sighted in the river, and therefore must be in the sky this round.
A hyena cares not for dealing with bigger fish. A hyena was at its home before, but will be in the forest this round.
A hyena has no real desire to execute smaller fish. A hyena invites those who wish to live to join it in the forest. A hyena would like to see a lion starve in the barren field. :3

A hyena is well-pleased.
A hyena also knows all the roles, so anyone looking for information can send it a message.

A chameleon led a hyena around for seventeen messages, attempting to extort money with no negotiating platform to stand on. Where subterfuge had no benefit, simple cooperation would have saved a chameleon's life and swollen its wallet.

"Proxy your actions to me and give $10k to someone you don't even know who they are" definitely sounds mutually beneficial to all parties and not likely to be abused at all, yup yup.
It was also extremely convenient when a chameleon didn't actually confirm or deny the presence of a snake when asked, forcing a hyena to find out the easy way.
At least, this is how a hyena sees matters. It does not wish to see a grudge held, but if a chameleon insists on forcing the issue then time will tell what comes of it.
