The previous game had an obvious breaking strategy due to the mafia being lovers among themselves, which made the pre-dance pairing critical.
This time, it looks like that isn't the case. The only thing that mattered is that scum gentlemen had to get a partner.
There are a couple of minor oddities from the pre-dance I want to discuss, but I want to talk to marquis first. He's LA or whatever and hasn't yet posted in the PT.

AA9 was in the unique position of being able to vig a player in {gaiden, ika}. You think it's filler to point out that she took a vig shot without trying to determine alignment?
I'm more than a little suspicious of the last two ladies to accept, simply because in the scum gentleman-lady scenario, I'd expect the lady to wait until the gentleman has secured a partner.
Was there any prior reason for the mollie pick, reck, or was that just whimsy?
Thing about ika-scum is that there aren't a lot of viable pairings for him.
I don't see all the ladies so quickly picking up partners if one of them was scummates with him, and I don't see him being scum with anti here for obvious reasons, leaving only ika-AA9 and ika-reck.
^ the issue to my mind was that there couldn't have been too much discussion there if she's out of action.
ETL's point does stand in that the ika-AA9 neighborhood is the only one that I would consider reasonably likely to be scum-scum (unless the scumteam got very lucky), so I'd like to hear details about the going-ons.
I give my impression of the pre-dance, which mostly consists of what I perceive to be viable scum-pairings
I tell him I want his opinions on other people
He points out that nobody likes ika and wonders if we should suggest AA9 suicide
I say we should get info from AA9, shame she's MIA
I ask him if he's an alt and if he knows the playerlist, answers: yes, no
He doesn't like the timing of AA9's post
I ask about his impressions of ETL-Anti
He sort of non-answers and asks me what I think of them
I say they more or less had to pick each other, and that it's interesting that they lack suspicion of each other
I mention that lady-lady scumpair seems kind of unlikely because they'd likely vig someone stronger than gaiden
He asks me to reiterate how player relationships affected the pairings
He asks whether gent-gent is a strong possibility. I say maybe and that it somewhat would implicate antihero
I say gent-lady is more likely, but that they'd still be in probably different pairs.
droog goes back to AA9 post timing (I hadn't reponded to that observation), points out that AA9 said she'd pair with anyone then does so in 2 minutes. Suggests that it was intended as a public show
He asks why gent-gent implicates anti-hero, I say that it makes it especially critical that they find partners, and anti made the strongest "gonna get me a womanz" play
He wonders why anti asked only those two (I had kind of already said why)
He asks ika's ETL-anti contradiction post meant
I say that anti-ETL was a preplanned thing
I say that contrary to my in-thread post, ETL-ika is vaguely possible if ETL thought it was too suspicious not to accept
I point out that 33 implied that mollie-reck is also a non-scum-motivated pairing
He says that it sounds like I'm saying ika-AA9 is the only pairing that isn't explained by prior player interactions; asks if there's reason to believe one could be a cover
I say that only if scum got lucky would a scum-scum pairing outside of ika-aa9 happen
he agrees
He expresses uncertainty with what more to say and that everyone else seems to know each other
I suggest we work on the assumption that scum are not paired, and suggest the kind of behavior I'd expect unpaired scum to exhibit
I say I want to hear more from reck
I ask what he thinks about ETL
He says that ETL-Anti seem to be especially synced and thinks one is in that pair if they're separate
Says he likes ETL more from him [sic] attacking ika
I say I have scumvibes from ETL and am leery of her townreading our pair, reck seems to have come to a similar conclusion
He finds reck's lack of explanation maddening
I say that I assume reck is mostly working within his PT; I find it interesting that they get scumreads on different players in the same pair
I say that the problem with ETL attackign ika is that ika is prob town

The manner that he was insisting that he had acquired an amazingly awesome townread based on such a silly thing seemed pretty unlikely to come from scum if he were paired with AA9/bob. I would think they would something a little more convincing.
If he's not paired with AA9-slot, then I could sort of see it as scum-ika overstating his townread and not expecting to be called on it, but even that seems unlikely. First level scumplay here is to begin with some "uncertainty" about ones non-scum partner which evolves to a townread.
The more recent post is pretty ridiculous though. Why say "one person in X/Y and one in A/B?" I don't even understand that.
It's actually kind of funny, because I really was thinking about leaving, but when you went off on him "pulling the noob card" it felt like so much of a stretch that I had re-evaluate.
I think reck positioned to scumread ETL but not really push a lynch as a subtle distancing from the pair.
I think he townread me and scumread you in the hopes of convincing me to leave the party. I implied that I would do so shortly before rephrasing the PT, and he immediately jumped on the "noob card" thing, which was a clear stretch.
Mollie is town because she called suspicion directly toward anti when he had otherwise been safely flying under the radar.
Sorry I couldn't be more engaged, the timing was kind of bad for me and I couldn't really anticipate that. A win is a win, though, unless you guys are trolling~
