First part's alright, TCG part is kinda eh. I do understand why they decided to scrap that part of the lore, even if I don't necessarily agree with it--Hell, I loved how the unveiling of the Dominion battle area was weaved into the overall plot and story between Demacia and Noxus--and I feel that bemoaning it is a little needless.

However, I AM pissed that the whole "Kat's father is MIA" plot thing and all that which just got cut short by the League newspaper's abrupt cancellation has apparently not been resolved. Granted, I don't really crawl the official LoL site for news about that, but it'd be nice to know if that ever got completed.

Bulge: Buttonmen is right, especially for build-tailoring. That shouldn't be taken as "never build sunfire" because unless the AD is someone like Corki or Kog where some AP scaling goes with their abilities and core items you'll still need something to avoid getting ripped to shreds by the AD, and even for them you have to make sure that they can't just tear you to pieces at their proper spike times (mid game for Corki and late game for Kog). Just make sure that you recognize that it's far more important in the early-midgame to focus on mitigating the majority of the damage (AP, in following TBM's example team) and then start building towards the other when the threat/s that cater to it (AD) start becoming threatening.

(of course, I didn't watch the game so my advice is more generalized, but still.)

P-EDIT: Don't worry, whenever I tried my hand at jungling in S3 I always felt like farming because I normally main ADC. Then again, I don't think Olaf and Volibear are supposed to be ganking champions and instead countergank, so yeah.

Well, that' is true, since Caitlyn is the best early-game bully for ADCs from her range alone (maybe Kog'maw, but doesn't his W range scale by level or something, not be a flat upping?). Even so, Trist pretty much only waveclears and farms, especially since her E's active had its DOT reduced. She's not really able to do much to the opposing side without a support (assuming 2v2s).

Cait, on the other hand, can do that (even if it's not as good as Trist) and bully pretty well. I agree it's rather intensive, but it should pay off well and also display your proficiency if you can have good CS AND ruin your opponent's.

Well, if you're looking for an early game brawler, then J4's obviously not going to be your champ. He's more utility-based and made for teamfighting and CC. Though, his clear is probably a lot better if your top lane jungles with you, since is aegis gets a better shield with allies (IIRC).

It's more useful when you're trying to, say, rush to an objective and can be reasonably sure the cd will be back up before the other team can respond. But in most cases it is better to bubble enemies.

(P) Focus - Scrapped and reworked. New functionality: Basic attacking a target causes Ashe to Focus on the target. Focused targets take 4% extra damage from Ashe's basic attacks and abilities. Stacks 5 times. Basic attacks on any other target switch and reset the Focus debuff.

I actually kinda like this change. Granted, I do enjoy being able to R-W-Passive boosted Q burst people to death (and it helps to have the mastery that ups AS with crits), but giving her the ability to do more damage over time might make her into viable hypercarry.

Also, I am 100% for AD scaling on her ult because it's just stupid that you can do practically nothing in regards to increasing your sniping ability with it unless you forsake her W and aa's, unlike with Jinx's ult (inherently does so 'cause based on missing health) and Ez (scales with both AD and AP, and Ez naturally gets some AP from Triforce, which you never build on Ashe). Okay, yes, it's mainly utility and not damage, but I would like to scale off SOMETHING relevant to Ashe's kit and items instead of just eternally languishing at (X damage based on rank+0) unless you specifically build AP Ashe for ult damage, and scaling off AD (even it's, like, .2) is the best fit.

(If that kind of change does get implemented, though, I do want Focus to stick around because it's not a terrible passive, just perhaps not suited for Ashe anymore).

I really don't like his idea for Galio's W. Not without it's cooldown being close to 20-30 seconds long, being .5-1.5 seconds long instead of two, and not auto-reset from his passive (which is kinda okay so long as it's not possible to constantly reset from allies dipping back over and under 30% due to heals/lifesteal/spellvamp). The idea of giving ADCs a mini-zhonya's of their own without buying the item is not terrible, but making it a literal second zhonya's seems a tad OP. The other two changes to his Q and E I actually rather like, but with his R I think there should still be some scaling based on damage received, but perhaps vastly reduced.

The GP rework actually looks pretty good. The firebreather part of the W may be a bit silly for him, but I like the general idea behind it. As one commenter stated, though (unless I missed it in the guy's original writup of the rework), not being able to remove CC kinda ruins the point.

Garen looks nice on paper, but I do question the reliability of the new W. How would you do that anyways? Hit W, move to where the aura will be, hit w again, and then swipe for the desired affect? Will this work slightly like TF's Pick a Card with a timer so you're allowed some time to choose the aura you want? How big will the aura be?

Gragas's W change is 50/50 for me. It makes sense because Riot wants our jolly fat man to be a displacement tank instead of the S3 AP guy, but is it better for it to scale off himself or off his enemies?

Graves's is alright. Probably will make players be more reckless (Rekkles? Hue?) in trying to up Q damage, but it's not terrible.

JIV is where the whole "maximum health scale doesn't really work. It should be instead based on nearby allies instead of nearby enemies, which IMO allows for top/damage Jarvans to have a passable defense instead of having to buy a Warmog's or something to get any real effect.

Karma's changes feel pretty decent, and his point about having more versatility without sacrificing damage does make some sense. Maybe include some kind of cooldown reduction if the mantra'd Q and E successfully proc on champ (or if the E does damage to champs), though? Unless CDR will affect those internal CDs.

Katarina...you can't remove her resets without removing her identity. Like, resets

Katarina. Putting emphasis away from her R (if that is where most of her damage is centered; I dunno, I don't play her) may make sense if that's true, but I don't like the passive change. Somewhat of a similar deal with Kha'Zix, although resets aren't

integral to his play as they are to Kat's. Probably should go to a 5 second cooldown instead of 20 for Kha.

I dislike making Mimic act as a literal 2nd ability for her others as far as damage goes, but I do like the idea of allowing Mimic'd abilitys have their own unique parts.

Some of Maokai's changes are good (20 stacks on his passive isn't bad, although that might just be nerfed to 10), but blah to his ult. It's basically combining his old stationary ult with the centered-on-self aspect of his new one, and it's terrible. At least his old ult had the option of being placed somewhere. Making it interact with his passive is nice (and certainly something that should be implemented if the new passive is used), but this particular change would make it pretty much be a poor man's Galio ult.

Master Yi is one champion where I'm arguably more lenient on the reset removal, mainly because the resets for Kat are offset by the fact that she largely stays in one place for most of her damage while both Master Yi and Kha can jump around. The new Q sounds confusing to me, W change isn't bad (although I wouldn't make it break from basic attacks except maybe for when toggled skills would proc like Aatrox's W), but I'm just not a fan of the new E. Maybe because I want that kind of thing to be Riven-only.

I like the health scaling on Nautilu's passive, though I do hope that the AoE portion of his W stops with the shield breaking.

Nid's traps get a cap? HELL YEAH!

Looking at Olaf's rework on paper turned me off of it initially (especially because his passive was one location where health scaling actually worked), but the rest actually looks really fun and seems to mesh really well with his "dive the carry, fuck everyone else" style. Although him gaining more speed when attacked doesn't seem to mesh with being a berserker. Getting more AD does, though, or AS.

Poppy...okay, first of all, "Whomper"? Is that seriously the name of her hammer? If not, fucking change that, please. *deep breath* okay, now that that's done, this rework is actually pretty okay. I think that the CC removal should be CC reduction, but allowing other champs to hurt her during the ult is fairly okay.

Shen is another champ where health scaling works, given he is supposed to be a tank in the first place.

For Swain...the tactical aspect of the Q change is decent, but I guess I'm leery of putting ward/lens-style vision control into regular abilities like this.

Taric's is...okay. Cool, fits his

flair, but I can't help be feel ambivalent. Maybe it's just me.

In comparison, I feel unnaturally giddy for the changes to Volibear, though that may be because I like the champion overall. My one big gripe is in how his E is a skillshot that's the same length and width as Morg's Q. That's a

no-no. Either keep the range and make there be a travel time, or shorten the range and make it instant. A 1350-ish range fear+slow on champs, even as a skillshot, is too OP IMO.

The new Wukong passive...kinda does nothing for him, really. I guess it gives him a way to sneak both into a fight for his combo as well as a way to sneak out, but...

Xin's is pretty decent, if we focus on him being a disruptor and semi-bodyguard.

If it does have a timer it's insanely long AND there is no display for the timer like on other "minions" etc. OR (big IF on this) I somehow didn't notice it despawn when the aforementioned invisible timer ended.

I just thought of something re: Fiora. Is Manamune a decent item for her, or is it just too long a ramp-up to be useful? I'm thinking that the extra damage on Muramana would be helpful, but she may not be able to get off enough abilities to stack it up fully.

Maybe I haven't paid attention to her in the patches, but the last nerf I recall to Rappel was that where she could go was strictly the range of the circle and no farther. I don't remember the circle itself shrinking.

Pretty sure mage Gragas died when they shot his AP scaling to hell. Probably only going to get away with him being a bruiser at this point (although things like what Ackerman did to Doublelift are still possible, but it's a lot harder)

Can someone help explain/clarify to me what it means when someone needs kills to ramp up or CS to ramp up? Or, I suppose why getting one over the other matters for different champions. Does it have anything to do with the ease of the champ to kill others?

And while I'm thinking of questions, if I'm someone trying to learn lane match-ups, what can I look for in a champion at select to tell if I'll have the advantage in lane, or what advantages I can have during lane? And if it's something that's not obvious (i.e Caitlyn's pure range over every other ADC except maybe Jinx in lane), how can I use this advantage or mitigate the disadvantage? (if that's not quite clear enough, lemme know).

1.) I wasn't even trying to be rude (well, not in a direct "screw you Panz" way, more like "that's not what we're talking about, can we not get off-topic without reason?"). I was pointing out that we were talking about building AP burst Malph, not tank malph.

2.)I don't think the 40 mdmg would be overly worthwhile on a build specifically designed to burst someone(s) down, so I'd only think that Abyssal would be bought for it. And trying to be snippy back in some attempt to get me for some exaggerated slight (possibly in retaliation for the fact you've been the proverbial whipping boy in the thread for reasons real and fabricated) doesn't really do much.

Also, I have played some league since S3. Not everyday (because having only the weekends to do anything not school or work related doesn't help that <_<), but I do.

3.) That's not double standards. It'd only be double standards if people interpret what I said as rude to you and are happy for it (or something along those lines).

One of the fun builds I've thought of Cait is to build Hurricane-BC-LW-Youmu's-one of shiv/BoRk. Though it'd really only work if you get Hurricane super early and win lane hard because you're relying purely on hurricane hitting champs consistently and racking up BC stacks. Still fun to try, even if I've never been able to actually build it up and consistently test it's effectiveness.

However, consider that Runaan's, if you get it for Cait, builds 3 stacks for each AA if you hit 3 targets. In that case you're getting headshots every 3rd attack (3 for 3, 3 for 6, and then the next headshots) or so. If you're in the bush, you're headshotting every 2nd AA.

As someone pointed out, one of the glaring weakness is that you're heavily reliant on the decreased armor staying down long enough for your low AAs to deal damage (or to help some other AD champ--like, say, Zed--run rampant even on tanks because you're shredding them so hard). This is why IE is still a decent item for the build due to the big number, but then you're just buying it for the AD and really nothing else (because the build is more about getting off as many Hurricane-AAs as possible to apply BC stacks instead of that AND dealing a fuckton of damage with each AA).

Very mobile; great synergy w/on-hit items/effects on Q; Q is good for poke, too; R is good for neutral snipes, and great for Teamfight damange if you get 2 or more hit by it (especially if you don't hit minions at all/until after champions.

From what I've gathered, though, Ezreal is amazing in either long teamfights (where he can Q for days and poke everyone down) or probably scattered teamfights (where he isn't being bum-rushed by everyone and their mother, and thus can focus down specific champions and use both his passive and on-hits to 1v1 his opponent down before the fight gets more centered (if it does; should Ez win while the fight goes south for his team, he can probably just E out).

If you don't like champs that need long teamfights to be effective, though, then I can see why you think he's useless.

I usually played her on support, as it's IMO a better slot for her. I suppose she could go the top-Lulu route of things (in being a main support going top lane for her utility), but I'm not sure that anyone except, say, Bjergsen can play her mid effectively (I still wanna see him pull her out again).

AS stacking would probably be paramount for ADCs, since they have to rely on pure AD and frequent hits more than lucky crits.

First game today. Took a hell of a long time to get into queue, but once we got in they surrendered at 21 mins after a 4-0 in our jungle around blue. It's the second time I (think?) I've beaten a Yasuo in lane as Xerath. Cool? Idk if Ghost is good on Xerath, either. Heal or ignite feels better, honestly.

Other game I just finished. Much longer than the other one, and it's been awhile since I played Malz. I was debating at the end if I should've gotten Liandry's or something, but I wasn't sure. I mean, what after Void/Rab/Morello/*defensive item* should Malz get?

Anyways, game was pretty back and forth, though we got the win regardless. Kinda weird, though. Not sure who was supposed to be the AD carry. I'm a little miffed Garen didn't go Aegis for the MR because they ALL were AP. Even Ez.
