Been getting back into this lately. Friend and I made a $10 bet on who could pull the most Mythics from a 2015 Fat Pack. I don't know the numbers or anything, we just both wanted new cards and it was something to do for fun. He pulled two

Just played my first game of EDH on OCTGN... this guy had an Artifact deck that eventually built up to:
Memnite
Krark-Clan Ironworks
Enduring Renewal
Disciple of the Vault
Rinse and repeat: Memnite would yield 2 colorless every time it got sacced from Ironworks, giving him inifinite colorless mana; he would deal infinite damage with Disciple as Renewal shot Memnite back to his hand over and over.
EDIT: He threw in a Skullclamp for infinite draw but it was so not necessary.

I need to go check my fat pack again - I was curious what the most expensive cards in the S/M are and I must've pulled half a dozen the other weekend, including Nissa which I've already fawned over enough in this thread. I don't have much expectation or concept of value when it comes to these, so I might be selling things I don't want but I'd prefer they see play. I'm not really into the collector thing, and I'd rather not just pass them on for others to sell, but I'll put a lit of some of what I have up here in case you guys've been looking for anything:
M15
Shivan Reef
Stoke the Flames
Goblin Rabblemaster
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Sliver Hivelord

I maintain I have at-least-slightly-higher-than-average-luck with this kindof shit, but then again that was a fat pack. Lots of chances I suppose. Also pulled a Foil Staff of the Mind Magus (and other Staffs) and Foil Feral Incarnation... ?

In post 5254, Thestatusquo wrote:Sudo, what happens if you attack with an animated Inkmoth nexus with an equipped behemoth sledge and your opponent has a melira in play?
Your Nexus loses Infect, tramples/flies into them, they take 3.
It loses Infect as a static thing ever since it first interacted with Melira, correct? The poison counter thing then only matters if an instant or sorcery would add a poison counter or if your opponent already had poison counters and you tried to Proliferate them to death or something. I don't think the below ruling would apply, but I guess I don't know how the animation of the Nexus would effect triggering into Melira.
Spoiler:
It's possible for a creature an opponent controls to gain infect after Melira enters the battlefield. For example, your opponent could cast Glistening Oil on a creature, and then Melira's ability and Glistening Oil's ability would be applied in timestamp order, with the most recent effect winning. The damage dealt to you by such a creature won't result in you losing life (because the creature has infect) or in you getting poison counters (because Melira stops them). Similarly, damage dealt to a creature you control by such a creature won't result in damage being marked on the creature or in -1/-1 counters. However, abilities that check whether damage was dealt (such as lifelink or Whispering Specter's triggered ability) will still see that damage.

In that case, the ruling I edited in is totally what happens:
The damage dealt to you by such a creature won't result in you losing life (because the creature has infect) or in you getting poison counters (because Melira stops them).

Pulled an Invocation Opposition in a draft with friends during my artist residency this past week, I am so psyched to (kinda) get back into the game. Any recs for a filthy casual who doesn't even like purchasing singles yet? The fun of opening packs en masse still isn't gone for me yet.
