In post 5173, Marquis wrote:@skybird: i asked if you could provide me with an example of your play from an offsite game since you guys were talking about it so much but you said you didn't want to

also should have stuck with my original interpretation of wake's post but i guess i had too much faith that he wouldn't really do something with such an obvious conclusion as that.his post practically confirmed you as town but i guess i thought "nah wake would never interfere to make it that easy"

Yeah, I actually used Wake's post as a springboard for my townread of Skybird so I wouldn't have to justify it by her playstyle.

Less work = less chances to fuck up.

my fake claim wasn't something usually done but fake mason claim have been done before, usually by town to bait nightkills and redirect attention away from a townread, and most prominently used by neighbors. it's even more rarely if ever done by scum due to the risk it poses, not to mention that if psyche and i were scum, we'd have to coordinate this without daytalk or both agree to it on an earlier night so essentially i'd have been springing it on him. i should have realized as i said before that i couldn't treat this lylo like others due to experience- a lot of the things i was saying were things i was used to saying in past games with different playerlists.

One of the things that made this game hard for me was replacing in approximately 150 pages in and having not played with most of the people in the game. But I've learned a lot from this game.

Well shit

Marquis was Town because flipped scum went after him too hard to plausibly be bussing
Skybird was Town because two mafiascum in the same neighborhood is unbalanced
House was scum because of his push on Shaddowez, his flip on me, willingness to lunch either of you D8, and PoE

I'm pleased with my Town performance. Scum deserved this win, they held it together until the last couple of days, successfully identified and eliminated SK, and, most importantly, chose who to take to endgame

dat bomb claim doe
"i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"

I reasoned with myself "well wiki says two max non strictly normal roles and it sounds like a wake thing to do to push the limits also so many protective roles to maybe protect the bomb accidentally??"
sorry guys I really dropped the ball here with confbias and forgetting hoods and trust me you could not be more disappointed in me than I am in me right now

WE WIN WOOOOOOOO

No thanks to me whatsoever. But that's OK, it was fun to watch. I can't say I read every post, but it seems like House did a really good job keeping us going.

The thing I couldn't get past was the fake mason claim. I'm still spending a lot of time reading newbie games and all the SE's and IC's constantly tell us new players to not fake claim. My question is do players do fake claims a lot outside of the newbie games?

Well, look at it this way, I refused to scumread them after the fake-claim.

I'd have argued that point all day long, because I've played in a Wake game where he put multiple scum in a good before.

As soon as House turned on me after no NK, I knew he was the last scum. I also knew there was no easy way I was going to convince anyone of that without outing myself, so I was trying to figure out a way to do so. Personally, I think I had a pretty good run, and enjoyed the game. Nicely done scumteam!

That's when you sorted me?

Hell, I figured the SK had me pegged and had plans to kill me to get to LyLo after using scum NK's to thin out the game.

That's when I knew for a fact. I was still torn between you and Marquis for a bit. I actually wanted to keep the last scum alive, because had I lived that Day phase I would have won (unless I didn't target you and we both targeted the same person, which was unlikely)

You did a good job as sk Shaddowez. I didn't suspect you at all until we got down to few numbers. Then it was more PoE.

@Marquis-
For the love of all that's holy, why did you not pursue your "mason" claim and scumhunt Psyche?

@Everyone else-
frustrating game, but I still enjoyed playing it.

@Shadow-
Horrible shooting in the beginning. Later on, it made sense from your PoV to make the shots you did, but next time as SK shoot more scum please :P

@Wake
- thanks for running it, and letting me play. I'll have to look back over, but first suggestion might be more frequent vote counts.
