Normally (second case) you cant simply/directly do that as the [] in the URL break the parser
however in the first case replacing [] with %5B%5D makes the problem go away.

Will work with many other chars, but some of the non alpha characters were required as fullish replace via http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/
didn't work. (unless I snafu'd)
