Rules for Professor Oak's Lab

ONE: FUNDAMENTALS

I) All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
II) There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
III) Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
IV) Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
V) Play to your Win Condition.

TWO: DAY PHASE (DP)

I) Each DP shall have a two week deadline.
II) Votes must be

bolded

or in

vote tags

or they shall not be counted. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble.
III) Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated by the mods.
IV) Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be lynched. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
V) If half of the living players approve a No Lynch (

), then no player shall be lynched and the game shall enter Night Phase. If deadline is reached and no one has received a simple majority of the votes, no one shall be lynched.
VI) Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
VII) If you have failed to post for over 48 hours, I will send you a prod. Failure to respond to this prod within 48 hours will result in the replacement of that player. Force-replacing of flakers/rule-breakers will be occur at my discretion. Generally, this will happen after three prods.
VIII) A deadline extension may be granted; just ask.
IX) Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.

THREE: NIGHT PHASE (NP)

I) NP shall last two days.
II) All groups with private topics (PTs) will be able to converse during the NP.
III) Any role or faction with night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod with their choice.
IV) If no action is received, no action will be taken. All actions received after the deadline has passed will not be valid.
V) Night Action submissions will be accepted starting in the Twilight Phase.

FOUR: CAPITAL OFFENSES

I) Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, or backup-moderator. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.

Ponyta was the only thing keeping Team Rocket from getting in here, and with her knocked out like that I am expecting there to be some intruders among you. I have to attend to other lab work, so I'll leave you all to sort this out with whatever form of vigilante justice you want.

A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokémon.

Behavioral Notes

It is one of the few Pokémon I've deemed acceptable for new trainers starting out. I based this on the calm temperament that seems to pervade the species. Most trainers noted a fairly easy time raising them because of it. We have several around the lab, they often tend to lean towards caring for the younger Pokémon.

When the bulb on its back grows large, it appears to lose the ability to stand on its hind legs.

Behavioral Notes

The evolved form of Bulbasaur. The power spike shifts the temperament slightly, making Ivysaur more feisty than Bulbasaur. The flower on its back smells similar to lavender mixed with vanilla, making it commonly used in women's fragrances. They generally tend to group up and groom each other should their flowers start to wilt.

The plant blooms when it is absorbing solar energy. It stays on the move to seek sunlight.

Behavioral Notes

The final evolved form of Bulbasaur, evolved from Ivysaur. These regain some of the docility exhibited in the Bulbasaur stage, as well as an air of maturity. The smell is similar to that of Ivysaur, but a bit stronger now that the flower is at full bloom. We only have one here at the lab, and I notice it tends to skirt the edges of activity, but will interact with other Pokémon should it be approached.

When it swings its burning tail, it elevates the temperature to unbearably high levels.

Behavioral Notes

It is the evolved form of Charmander. Charmeleon is notably more aggressive than either of its other forms, stubborn and always after what it wants. 3 aides of mine have been sent to get burn treatment in the last month alone due to breaking up scuffles between them. Their stubbornness sometimes overpowers their loyalty, but the loyalty still remains from its Charmander stage.

Behavioral Notes

The final evolved form of Charmander, evolved from Charmeleon. Most of my research of the species has occured in Charicific Valley, a stomping ground where many of the species seek to improve their strength. Charizard's defining characteristic is its pride in its strength, exhibited by constant competition among its peers.

Snorlax

. Back in Oak's college days, Oak liked to toke up with Prof Rowan at the PPUU(PokeProfessor Unova University). One day, as they traveled to the nearest pokemart to stock up on snacks, they saw a weird shape in the garbage outside.

It was a Munchlax. This was the first time a Munchlax had ever been seen(mostly due to the fact that Snorlax's breeding method, which inexplicably involved having a specific manmade scent being present during the copulation ritual) and the two had a fight, because whoever presented this mysterious new pokemon to the PPUU board of trusties would surely go on to greatness in the grad program. To settle it, the two young professors sent out there pokemon to fight--Oak's Charmander vs Rowan's Pinplup. Sadly for Rowan, though, Oak had travelled back to Kanto and walked down the Cinnabar coastline during spring break and something strange happened...his Charmander had been Grass/Thunder type ever since.

With his new Munchlax, Prof Oak eventually went on to become an international icon. The two haven't spoke since. Rowan got the last laugh, though, becaue years later, when Munchlax evolved, it didn't become some cool new pokemon--it became Snorlax, and that was Oak's problem ever since.
