To be honest, I have no idea! But it'll be anon and such, so I'm not sure if anyone will want to play in it while a Survivor is going on. It's really not the most serious game though, so it could probably run alongside another game.

This is a game of my own creation, with a borrowed core mechanic. It's similar in feel to mafia, with some notable differences. For example, everyone plays the whole time.

Rules

- There are five players. Three technicians, two aliens. I will PM you your role before Day 1. The goal of the technicians is to complete the Recon Mission. The goal of the aliens is to prevent them from doing so for three days.

- During each Day, all five players openly discuss and vote for a Mission Captain. Once selected, the Mission Captain declares in thread two partners to accompany him.

- If the crew (Mission Captain + two selections) is all technicians, they win. If the crew has one or more aliens, the attempt fails. Aliens win with three failures. If for some reason a deadline is reached, it counts as one failure.

You are a

Technician

. Your goal is it ensure that the Recon Mission is completed. Your tools are your faith, fraternity, and voice.

You are an

Alien

. Your partner is _______. Your goal is to stall the Recon Mission for three days - long enough for the human's remaining supplies to run out. Your weapons are your guile, your malice, and your masseters.

Conventions

- Votes and wagons work like how you think.

Vote

for the Mission Captain you want; once he's hammered, he makes his choices and the mission is attempted. Remember that in this game votes are a display of confidence in someone, rather than the opposite.

- Once you get hammered to be Mission Captain, declare your team like this:

Declare: first name, second name

- There's no Night in this game, so everyone can keep talking through hammers. I'll announce the result of missions as I see them.

- No talking outside the thread.

Since I've been PM'd about it: Would the Survivor players and mods be interested in a more formal queue system?

That would be wonderful! It can bit a bit confusing in here, especially for newer players. I had several newbies PM me while I was running Conclave and had to direct them to the right place and explain how everything works, and I don't think "uh the next one will run sometime after that" is an incredibly appealing player retention method. Plus it frequently changes what with mods dropping in and out and games rearranging their order. And it's not clear how Big Brother and other such things should be accounted for there if at all (since they tend to draw a lot of the same people but handling two of those at once as a player is basically impossible). Furthermore, their ongoingness kinda doesn't work the same way as it does for other games.

This has been an unnecessarily long way of saying yes.

I definitely think it would be a good idea. There are a bunch of larger games that definitely could use a more organized way of being announced and planned out. A lot of these games need a lot of players and cover a few months worth of time, and while overlap isn't the worst, there are sometimes other problems that happen and i think a more official queue would help with that. I'm also willing to help out with that stuff if you like.
