I've actually gone back and forth on the lufan a couple of times and e as about to type a text to my good brother Thor for his clear and unbiased opinion, but then suddenly I thought that this might actually be useful to other people too!

I think it's reasonable for Lufan, regardless of alignment, to end up snooping around in the private topics forum. What's strange to me is that he expected his post would be invisible in the post he made (thus inferring that was the norm he was used to, which doesn't make sense for a first time player), and duh, that's the argument my tired mind couldn't comprehend.

Where is his defense of lufan unreasonable? Just because someone is bucking against groupthink doesn't automatically make them scummy. In this case, the push against lufan is reasonable enough, but the defense is just as reasonable and just as valid. Its possible he saw the unread symbol in the PT and decided to snoop around without really expecting to see anything and just saw that. it's possible he clicked on the private topic forum in order to see his scumtopic and stumbled upon it there. Neither of these situations are more likely than the other. Arguing either side isn't really scummy.

In the other game modded by Pieguyn there was one VT fakeclaim out of the three scum, so I wouldn't rule out that possibility completely.

I'm not completely sold on Skold scum and I'd really like to see the rest of his analysis ASAP, but we do really need a lynch within like the next 18 hours.
