Marathon Weekend (Closed until next marathon weekend)

I can't speak to this past one as I was out of town, but in the past when we've had a bunch of marathon weekends run in a short time period it tends to reduce participation in the marathon weekends while still exerting a somewhat chilling effect on games.

Personally, I'd prefer marathon weekends to be 1) announced far in advance and 2) be run twice a year at most. They're fun, and I've run a ton of marathon games myself, but I think it's easy to overdo it. I like that doing them far apart concentrates people's interest in marathons.

That said, mith had a purpose in doing these I believe, so it's not like it's now policy to run a bunch of spur of the moment marathon weekends now.

Oh. Is this my territory now? So many jobs. I'm sort of a fan of the twice yearly Marathon weekends, but if people would prefer Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas that's fine too.

Any mods that wish to use PTs for either game organization or Scum threads should apply to join the Marathon Weekend PT group. I'll approve as necessary, and the group will be wiped until the next weekend is approaching.

Is this strictly for mafia games?
I've had an idea that was inspired by mafia, but has nothing to do with it anymore. Was thinking of running it in a irc chat, but couldn't be arsed to code some irc scripts.
Anyway, I also have an actual mafia that I've ran before, which shares some similarities with that Russian roulette game mentioned a few posts up. I'm currently in the normal queue with my first game (on this site), but this may be a good opportunity to get my first on-site modding experience.

Just to be clear, you're welcome to run games in the marathon weekend forum, but it does not count as experience toward doing themes, etc.
