I) All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
II) There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
III) Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with any player or mod staff. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
IV) Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
V) Play to your Win Condition.

TWO: DAY

I) Each Day shall have a two week deadline.
II) Votes must be

bolded

or in vote tags, they shall not be counted otherwise. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble.
III) Unvoting is not required, but is appreciated.
IV) Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person shall be lynched.
V) If half the living players approve a No Lynch (

Vote: No Lynch

or VOTE: No Lynch), then no player shall be lynched and the game shall enter Night. If deadline is reached and no one has received a simple majority of the votes, no one shall be lynched.
VI) Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
VII) If you have failed to post for over 48 hours, I will send you a prod. Failure to respond to this prod within 24 hours will result in the replacement of that player. Force-replacing of flakers/rule-breakers will be occur at my discretion.
VIII) A deadline extension may be granted; just ask.
IX) Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.

THREE: NIGHT

I) Night shall last three days.
II) All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during the Night.
III) Any role or faction with night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod with their choice. This may also be done by any PTs a player may have.
IV) If no action is received, no action will be taken. All actions received after the deadline has passed will not be valid.
V) Night Action submissions will be accepted starting in the Twilight.

FOUR: CAPITAL OFFENSES

I) Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with any player or mod staff. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
II)

The following is a list of outlawed shenanigans:

Using invisible text, codes, cryptography, etc.
Editing your posts (if you have the power to do so)
Insulting other players
Quoting any methods of private communication you may have access to (PTs, Role PMs, etc.)

If any of these offenses are committed, I have the right to force-replace you from the game or modkill you. A warning will usually come before replacement or modkilling, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Topeka State Hospital; a home for the mad. The resting place of the sick and twisted, sanctuary of men who had raped, killed and tortured others. All for their fun and entertainment.
The state banished them to asylums such as this, usually never to see the light of day again. The rest of their lives spent in constant torture and darkness. Slowly, breaking their minds or occasionaly the life of a lucky one.

Neighbouring residents report hearing banging noises, manic laughter and blood curdling screams which get cut short unexpectedly, leaving a cold, deathly silence. It keeps them awake during the nights, makes their children cry. Many a complaint had been sent to the local counsel, however they continued to deny that anything out of the ordinary was happening at the facility.
The noises said otherwise, as did the bodies that left the building piled in carts.

Not all the men at these places were mad; there were also men and women who had just doubted the government or opposed it. They fought for freedom and equality, yet they were still seen as pests. The authorities saw them as a threat and labeled them as mad, sending them away to break their minds. Hopefully they would leave without any memories about their old ambitions, better still; they never speak again.
These unlucky beings underwent the tortures, mentally and physically. Enduring the silence and boredom of their cells and trying not to loose hope or sanity. Many of them had had their teeth pulled out, or other body parts removed. The surgeons claimed that their problems were cause by some bacteria which lived in some infection of theirs. So it was removed, a leg or possibly an eye, mostly teeth however. The surgeons seemed to like their teeth.

However, there came a day that one of the men in cell 4 had had enough. When the quacks came to release him from his bonds to have his daily "chat" he lashed out. One of the quacks was knocked out and many screams and shouts could be heard throughout the building. It suddenly went quiet a few minutes later though... and Robert wasn't seen again.
Robert had been a friendly soul, always cheeful despite being chained to a wall. On the occasions the other captives saw him he had been kind.
Those still in possesion of the ability to think used the circumstances to spark a rebellion, the sane blamed their keepers for Roberts disappearance, accusing them of murder. They sowed hatred, a common feeling to the mad. Many came to their calls; those that still held on to their sanity were willing to surrender their lives for the chance of escape and the others, well, they didn't mind making a few more corpses. It would probably be quite "fun" for them.
So they grouped together the madmen and rallied them. They told them that they could do whatever they wished, that tomorrow they would strike. However it's hard to trust a madman, who knows which of them had been mentaly enslaved and willing to do whatever the quacks tell them. The fear that the captures had found out about the plot and had bribed some of their fellow inmates also brought distrust.

One thing however is certain:

A jolly day the morning sun will bring.

I forgot to add a creepy fact (or should I say *crazy* fact) to the votecount. Please forgive me, for the pun and the fact.

FactThe Athens Mental Health Center, Ohio, established in 1874, used cruel tactics such as applying electric shocks, kicking patients in the head, bleeding and freezing patients to ‘cure’ them of their illness. Though the asylum is now closed, many people have reported seeing the shadow of a young female patient named Margaret Schilling, whose body was found on the top floor. Her corpse actually left a stain on the floor, and even now people hear squeaking gurneys and disembodied female voices on the same floor.

The first blood had been shed, the body of Reubus Swagrid lying in a pool of it.
This young man had been accused of working with the quacks to suppress the revolution. However it was not so. After many hours of torture and agony of being cut every few hours and drained of blood he broke.
He called out to his fellow captives, wanting to explain all. When they arrived he proceeded to explain that he had been a proud serial killer, a man that ruled the streets. The second he had heard of the revolution he had decided that he wanted to raise his body count, he didn't care wether the revolution was successful.

Once he was finished explaining his story a man walked up to him, not saying a word, and slit his throat. The madmen watched the life drain out of him, slowly leaving the room. Some of the captives stayed and started to feast on his flesh, once they were finished the corpse couldn't be recognised as human.

Reubus Swagrid has been lynched, he was a 1-Shot Bullet Proof Serial Killer.

I'm back! Also, MY FIRST PAGE TOP!

The residents of hell returned to their sleeping places, no longer were these retched rooms cells which only purpose was to restrain them. Beds and other basic comforts had been sieged from the quacks' living quarters. The doors were also no longer locked after curfew, they were free to roam the night.
Some things would however never change, the smell of blood, the unexplainable stains or marks on the walls and the memories which had been etched into their mind. At least, if you still had a memory to remember the horrors.

The mad dripped into their beds and rested, those sane trying to forget the inhumane happenings of the last day. They may eventually win their freedom, however nothing would free them from the images of a fellow human being ripped to shreds and... eaten. He may have been a Serial Killer, but nobody deserves such a death. Their nights rest were troubled by nightmares, dark and disturbing. They would awake to another one;
LlamaFluff had been killed during the night, his throat had been slit and the logo of the hospital had been scratched onto his forehead. The message was clear to all, this meant war...

Mental Disorder FactParis syndrome is a condition exclusive to Japanese tourists and nationals, which causes them to have a mental breakdown while in the famous city. Of the millions of Japanese tourists that visit the city every year, around a dozen suffer this illness and have to be returned to their home country.

Marcrell tried to recall images of his children and wife. He was a proud father of four children, married happily and a well paid job as a doctor. He struggled to bring up the images of the smiling faces of his kids however he could not. The pain was too much, he was too weak.

Once the mad had started the revolt he had instantly said he would help the rebels. He had hoped to live until the end, preferably with the bodies of the troublemakers rotting in the ground. To hinder them he used his knowledge of drugs to tranquillise members wherever he could. He got away with it for a day, although they kept him in sight at all times. He awoke the next morning, a miracle in his eyes, however it didn't last long. Some of the rebels were suspicious of him, so they dragged him to the operation room and started the tortures. The mad had no knowledge of medical utilities, nor did they have any sympathy. So they cut, beat and stuck whatever they wished into him. His teeth had been removed only to be forced into his right arm. That was far from the worst sadly. By evening he had had enough, he sprung up got a nearby syringe containing poison (intended for those too violent or crazy before the revolt) and jabbed it into his chest. His tormentors couldn't do anything, so they stood watching the life flow out of him.

He died smiling, thinking of the snack-bars he would no longer be able to visit.

The sun rose once more over the estate. It's gentle beams of light seeking their way into the house of the mad. They would find the bodies of the final quack and some other kleptomaniac. They sat in chairs, half empty cups of white wine left on the table they slouched on. Their skin had no more colour, gave off no warmth. The blood had taken those with it, while it had seeped out of the wrists and onto the floor.

One of the two had taken the time to write a note to whoever found their corpses. It had been soaked by the blood, staining it and making it almost unreadable. However two words were still visible: "You win".

The house of the mad is finally ruled by the mad.
A jolly ending.

My thoughts:
The town managed to bloc (even if they didn't always voice it) very early on, the SK kill also messed up the mafia's chances of success as well. Rolling 2 cops is horribly town sided to start with, then when the mafia missed twice, lost the SK and mafia roleblocker I can understand they gave up. MD really should of requested replacement as he couldn't really play like this.

Short Overview:

There are two factions the "Dark Pokémon" and the other "regular" pokémon. The aim of the dark pokémon is to make all "regular" pokémon faint and the goal of the regulars is to make all the dark ones faint.

The game is played in two phases: the Target Phase and the Attack Phase. During the target phase players vote who they wish to use a move against during the attack phase. There are no lynches or majorities, each player just chooses who they will target. Once everyone has a target the game moves to the attack phase, now everyone chooses a move to use. Moves can "damage" opponents, manipulate or weaken others. Some may require targeting yourself (meaning you need to self target in the target phase) and will give you various bonuses.

Once all moves are sent in the mod will resolve all actions and will open a new target phase by posting how much HP (in %) each player has left. If a player ever reaches 0 HP they faint and are out of the game, the mod will reveal their role and information.

During both of these phases players may post. The game ends once one of the two factions has met their goal.

Detailed Overview:

This is a detailed explanation of all the rules.

Your Pokémon:

Each pokémon has various features: type, stats, level, moves and ability. Your pokémon's type basically decides which moves you are resistant/weak to, this is explained in the "Attack Phase" section. The stats decide what your pokémon is good at:

HP - This is your max Health Points, the more you have the harder you are to kill.

Atk - This is your attack, higher attack means physical attacks do more damage against others.

Def - This is your defence, higher defence means physical damage do less damage against you.

Sp. Atk/Def - The same as Atk and Def but for special attacks.

Spd - Speed, the higher your speed is the earlier your attack is resolved during the Attack Phase.

Your level grows every time a player faints, when you gain a level your stats raise and there's a chance you can learn a move or even evolve. You can have a max of 4 moves so if you have less than 4 to start with the move is just added to your move-set. However if you already have 4 moves you must choose one to forget.
Some pokémon evolve at a certain level, when you evolve you gain higher stats and there's a chance your ability or type changes.
All players start at level 1.

Abilities do whatever they say they do in your role PM, feel free to ask me about it if you don't understand it.

Target Phase:

During the target phase you have to vote who you want to target with a move in the attack phase. All moves have a description saying "Target: Self" or "Other". If it says "Target: Other" you need to target another player besides yourself to use that move, moves with "Self" require you to vote (target) yourself. This phase ends when everyone has placed their vote on a target. Players are free to change targets as many times as they want.
If no target is chosen after 1 week no move may be taken next Action Phase as a penalty.

Attack Phase:

During the attack phase you choose which move you want to use. If you choose to attack another pokémon the following happens:

If the move is a "Special" or "Physical" move I'll calculate how much damage your target receives. Moves are stronger if they mach your pokémons type and if it has a higher "Power".
There is also a type chart in pokémon, meaning that certain types are weak or resistant to certain types of moves. To find out which types are effective against which type see this chart:

Some moves have bonus effects which they may do. There are some moves which can inflict "Status Problems/Effects" onto your target. The status problems are:

Burn - Each target phase you will loose 12.5% of your HP and your Atk is halved.

Paralyse - Each move has a 40% chance of failing during the attack phase. Your speed is lowered by 75% as well.

Freeze - Your moves have an 80% chance of failing, if they succeed you loose this status problem.

Poison - You loose 12.5% of your life each target phase.

Sleep - Your moves fail for 1-3 attack phases (random).

There may be other effects which are described with the move.

If your move is a status move it doesn't do any damage. It changes your targets stats, heals HP or inflicts/heals status problems.

Shop:

During the Attack Phase you may also buy items from the shop, which is in the first post in thread. Here you'll be able to buy a range of items sorted into two groups: Battle Items and One-Shot Items. You may have only one battle item, these give you various bonuses. If you buy a battle item and you've already got one they will be swapped.
One-shot items are items which are used next target phase, they can teach moves, raise stats or heal HP.

Every player starts with $1000. Every time a player faints you gain $100 plus the amount the fainted player still had.
All actions taken during the attack phase are sent to the mod via PM.
