The following game takes place in the old Expanded Universe(pre retcon)
Fox Anthem

Mafiascum Lmt.

A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far Far Away...


Four years after the Battle of Endor, the struggle
against the remnants of the Empire continues. With
the New Republic struggling to liberate Imperial
worlds, rogue Imperial leaders have turned to even
more desperate tactics to hold power.

In the distant Kathol sector, a New Republc task force
attempts to defeat Imperal warlord Moff Sarne.
As Imperial and New Republic starships battle in orbit,
a small New Republic infiltration team, Page's Commandos,
leads the assault on Sarne's stronghold.

Basic RPG Mechanics:
Reading Character Template: 2D means you roll two six sided dice on skill checks. 2D+1 would mean you roll two six sided dice and add 1.
Skill Checks: When performing something that isn't easily doable(easily doable = walking) you perform a skill check.
-Unopposed skill checks(when not competing against another character) - Roll your skill dice - difficulty; 5=Very Easy 10 = Easy 15 = moderate 20 = difficult, 25 = very difficult 30 = heroicly difficult
Opposed skill checks = Role versus opponents skill. For example, when shooting, if your blaster is 4D, you would roll against your opponents dodge. If opponents dodge is 3D, you roll 4 six sided dice against opponents 3 six sided dice, if you win you hit them, if they win they dodge. If you hit you roll for damage, your weapons damage against their strength or armor(if they have armor).
Damage > Strength/Armor
0-3 = Stunned(-1D for that round and next round)(per stun)
4-8 = Wounded(-1D to all rolls)
9-12 = Incapacitated(unconcsious for 10D minutes)
13-15= Mortally Wounded(Roll 2D for each round; if roll is less than number of rounds since mortally wounded, character dies)
16+ = killed
Force Points = May be used to double your skills for one combat round. If used at an unheroic moment, it is lost permanantly, if used heroically, you keep it for the next adventure. If used heroically at a dramatically appropriate moment, you keep it for the next adventure AND get an extra one for the next adventure.
Character Points = Used on a per adventure basis to increase your skill rolls. 1 character point = 1 extra dice.
Dark Side Points = If you do something evil, you gain a dark side point. Each time you gain a dark side point, you roll 1d6, if your roll is less than the number of dark side points you have, then your character turns to the dark side and becomes an NPC(non player character). You will be told ahead of your action if it is a dark side action and will have a chance to change your mind.
Move = How many meters you can move per turn. Standard is 10.

Khzam, Thyte and Lok'har are in this meeting. Fasalk, who is not a command officer, is not.

Captain Ciro sits at the officer's table next to his first officer, Commander Adrimetrum as they have their first staff meeting on board the New Republic capital ship FarStar. Ciro looks over his crew with a concerned look on his face.

"I'd like to welcome you all aboard the FarStar." He begins. "Make no qualms about it. This isn't going to be an easy mission, and it isn't going to be a short one either. Our objective is to find Moff Sarne, a ruthless Imperial leader who has no qualms about killing civilians or enslaving worlds to meet his objectives. He needs to be stopped, millions of lives hang in the balance.

He is believed to be hiding in the Kathol Sector, a remote region of space that is as of now unexplored. This means we have no, absolutely no idea what is out there. This puts us at a decisive disadvantage. Sarne and the Imperials have countless friends and resources in the sector to help them.

There is additional information that I need to give to you, the command staff, and only you. Moff Sarne has access to some unusual technology, which sources tell us is called Darkstryder technology. We have no information at the moment as to what this technology does, how it is used, or the extent of it's power. We've heard rumors that is possesses some unusual and mystic qualities that Sarne is using to gain an advantage in this region of space. We don't want to spread paranoia among the crew so it is vital that you do not say anything about Darkstryder to anyone outside of this room.

Outside of that, I have faith that all of you will do your best to serve the New Republic, defeat Moff Sarne, and bring justice to the Kathol Sector, and ultimately the galaxy. Does anyone have any questions?

Obviously, if this Darkstryder technology is as powerful as we think it is, our first priority is to keep it out of the Empire's hands. That being said, it can't be trusted with any ONE individual. We need to think about the larger picture here. If Moff Sarne is using this, there is very possibly some evil properties that go along with it. We aren't going to be selling it to the highest bidder, we're going to be safeguarding it so other madmen like Moff Sarne won't get their hands on it in the future."

The FarStar in general appears to be on the old and rusty side, but other than that the turbolasers appear to be in working order.

Ciro: You know your skills are very valuable to us, it's just not medically safe for you to fly. I have your complete New Republic records and your bravery and willingness to help are unmatched by almost anyone here. I know you want to fly, but that just ain't happening today.

Despite their loss at Endor, the Empire still has plenty of resources at their disposal, that being said, since they have been losing worlds, they are much more protective of what they have. About 1.5 days into the hyperspace journey, all of a sudden the FarStar drops out of hyperspace, and the lights and power system go completely out. The FarStar is in total darkness.

Gunthar can see pretty well as he has low light vision, but other people run into him occasionally as they do not.

Gunthar fails his perception roll, so while he can see somewhat it's not as good as he usually is able to. The fact he is on an unfamiliar ship doesn't help.

Edly knows right where the power source is and walks over to it, and pushes a few buttons. The lights on the FarStar magically come back to life. Everyone on the FarStar starts cheering sarcastically. "Working lights, what a concept!" "Hooray for lights!" You hear in the background.

We don't currently have a Chief Engineer, Tofarain and Lofryyhn are sharing the duties at the moment, but I think if you concentrate your training on engines, we already know you are an expert pilot, you'll be advancing on the ship very quickly.
