I largely agree with Kerplunk, I get a gut feeling too (though not about me as scum, obviously ). I would like to hear more from Jdodge and spectrumvoid.

Crub's defense of Schis is noted.

I don't much like the "random/joke" phase, and generally don't buy "it was the joke phase" as an excuse for votes or defenses.

Heh it wasn't a defense on schis as much as it was a highlighting of Kerplunk. I just found it strange for someone to be making what seemed a serious push on someone during the random/joke phase. I also need to improve my sarcasm detector.

There's been nothing interesting happening this game that's why I haven't posted, I find the whole random voting phase meh. Judging by the posting activity of everyone else (including you JDodge) everyone else has found this random voting phase uneventful too. Having said that I find Shism's vote very suspicious.

In short because I think a shis lynch is going to mean insta-lose. I don't care if my vote would put him at 4/3/2/1 away I'm not going to vote for the person who I think is probably the lynchee.

I don't like how kerplunk's random vote turned into a serious vote, and I especially don't like the post kerplunk made about finding the lyncher. To me he's trying to subtly confirm himself as not the lyncher.

One statement you say you would vote him except for a "paranoid" slight possibility that Kerplunk is the lyncher. That would imply that except for your acknowledgedly paranoid concerns, you find schis the most scummy.

Then, you say you don't find schis even remotely scummy.

Explain how those two statements are indicative of you being internally consistent in your suspicions.

Since when do you have to find someone scummy to vote for them? In a stalled game like this a good old bandwagon is great for prodding discussion, I'd just prefer it if we added some pressure on someone that doesn't have 2 serious voters for no apparent reason.

The lyncher comes up as lyncher upon death. He does not win if his target is lynched post-death.

In response to Guardian's question. Of course it's possible that Kerplunk is scum, but I think it's minor compared to the chance that he's the lyncher.

I just think his play over the first few pages were very lyncher centric and in particular very schis lynch centric. I got the impression that he was trying overly hard to give the impression that he was not the lyncher.

I really think we should be lynching Kerplunk, but I don't think that we're going to see a Kerplunk lynch today, because JDodge and d3sisted are all over the place, and, Guardian and Sammich are focused on JDodge. Also considering JDodge is number 1 on my Scum shortlist, and he hasn't posted anything recently which puts him in a good light I think this JDodge lynch is still a good move.

I've thought hard about this and if Guardian or Sammich are JDodge's lyncher then all I can say is well played ... I think the chances of anyone other than Kerplunk being the lyncher are relatively slim, even though I know that this kind of single-minded reasoning often get's town into trouble.
