I started having some doubts near the very end of day 2 since pretty much the only people who made sense as possible alquin counterclaims were FF and one or two other superlurkers but figured it'd be better not to voice them in case you were town and scum thought they'd be able to get you lynched.

that's a good question. I was planning on doing them after all games have completed, but in hindsight, doing it as each finished probably would have been better.
Replacements are a tricky question. The issue is that in a game with 64 players you're simply going to have a lot of replacements, and doing it in a way that gives teams some control is in keeping with the team mafia theme. We could pretend that replacements should never happen, but that would simply degrade the games.
or maybe don't allow people who have already gotten lynched replace into games

I mean it's just a game and everything and I'll stop being annoyed about it by the time I finish this post, but the mod team severely fucked up by allowing GreyICE to replace in and I really hope you understand that

?
What exactly do you mean here? Do you dislike my suggestion?
no I do, I'm suggesting that the replacement pool could have its points tallied as if they're their own team. probably wouldn't work. either way I really like the idea of having a set replacement pool so there's no waiting and you don't have lynched players replacing into new games

Why?
allowing someone who has gotten lynched to continue to contribute points to their team is unfair because it rewards poor play
additionally GreyICE had documented history with one of the players in the game that you allowed him to replace into

Also, could you explain your suggestion?
I don't understand what UT is saying either.
My suggestion is that for the replacement process, people who want to replace into TEAM MAFIA sign up as replacements, and must have a good track record (considered experienced, subjective), before being shortlisted into a waiting list.
Then, captains who need a replacement just request a replacement. They get the first person in the list.
No choosing.
Flaw: not enough replacements signing up to keep up? Well, get your "friend" to join the queue then! Otherwise, just eat the penalty for having inactive teammates

I don't really see how it rewards bad play. You still got lynched in one game. That's punishment enough. As to him having a history, that's normally something I'd care about in doing a game. But it's not something I can possibly hope to care about in Team Mafia. There are just too many moving parts, and I'm not going to try to step in on that.

We had too much respect for your town play. Won't happen again.
for the record though, I thought my play was pretty goddamn atrocious and I don't hold it against anyone for scumreading me. I would have been.
the combo of the weird mechanics, page length, information paucity, and my IC role completely sapped any desire I had to participate in any meaningful way

Well Mara disappeared after she died in her game, while having contributed fairly minimally to any other (a few words for mine). notty contributed only to his own game. pie and I were the only two who got involved in the other three's games, and I only got involved in Mara's postmortem with me throwing out a blind guess at ETL being scum. (Which she was.) And similarly, only in pie's D2 onward and in notty's at the contemporary timeframe (after D1). pie, too, mostly contributed to the lategame of other games particularly mine.
So while we didn't need replacements, we weren't exactly holding the fort very strongly. notty had extreme activity issues, and so did I. (Albeit at different times.)
I had to get carried HARD in signs and void
I think my performance in that game alone moves us away from "solid"
