If you centralize the positions, Republicans have to find a left-leaning moderate Republican to run against a powerhouse like Clinton.

Standard strategy.

Well, yes, but they don't see it that way.

Also 2 terms isn't that long of a time to not have an elected president from your party. It's actually a rather typical thing...

I'd hate to admit it, but Jeb is probably the best of all possible Bushes. It's a shame we had to go through two of them before him.
