Hmm, an idea here.

The gun person picks a pool. The gun person may change the pool on who to shoot as time progresses. We all talk about our reads within that pool. It forces association and narrows focus. It's an old trick that I used awhile back. The downside to it was that it disrupted naturally forming wagons. This game doesn't have that though.

For instance, Gun Person says Adam, Charlie and Brett are all lurking. Pick one for me to shoot.

@Pablito, it takes me awhile to get settled into any particular game, so yes before I read, it's fair to say I'm not an improvement.

I read through three of their ISOs.

Enomis is active lurking but has two posts with Lucky that ping me. The first, he says that he's fine with Lucky or Victor being shot but would prefer Victor. Second, he has a post that says he thinks Lucky is a goon. This needs to be elaborated on, and he's my top choice.

PN has a smarmy, I'm not going to do jackshit vibe, I dare you to shoot me. He's more likely either vengeful or town being far too arrogant since there's not much to go on.

West, I like his ISO and I don't see why he's up for being shot at the moment.

I meantioned my initial thoughts on reading the ISO's of Enomis, PN and West 9. They are scum, lean scum, and town respectively. As for everyone else, I'm reading people by seeing the interactions as they unfold, which is my preferred method.

@West, I don't really do towncases. Someone's town if there's no reason to scumread them based on actions. I don't need to prove you town, you know it if you are. If you can't take my word for it, shoot me. I prove people down by tearing down shit cases, not by highlighting "this is a town post" unless the post is just inherently obviously town, or VCA clears someone. Since we aren't getting into VCA most likely (although I'll try to force the issue if I have the gun), then you're not likely to see strong town cases from me.

@Suzanne, I don't read when I sub in. Just a matter of policy, regardless of alignment.

@Heartless, there you go. A lot of the who is scum and who is town arguments are about perspectives.

Pablito, why does town need to regroup? We just shot scum. We don't need perfection, just accurate shots. The more scum talk, the easier it is for them to persuade us of something that is untrue. I love long days as scum. Just keep them talking.

My thread presumes a VCA can be performed. It can be reconstructed with your short list, presuming others did something similar but it would take time and more likely be less precise. Basically, the idea is you look back and see who favored shooting who else. Ignore the reason (at least at first). Look at the general voting pattern. Has someone always wanted town shot, while FoSing scum, neon sign of being scum. If someone consistently always wants to shoot town and is passionate about doing so for many times in a row, more than likely that person is dumb town.

Scum don't need to regroup after a town is shot. So your premise is faulty. Everything is going swimmingly if town gets shot. I have no problems with you suggesting one thing and doing another as it is a decent tool to get reads from. I am townreading West, so I don't have a problem with people defending him. It's a read worth noting if the game hits Lylo but right now I want to work off what we had.

The only way for scum to NK a confirmed townie is to lose a vengeful. Each time a vengeful flips, that's one less townie needed before steamrolling. The non-vengeful scum are much more expendable. Enomis was scummy prior to lurking. The only thing that slot has done is push a case on town and try to suddenly form a Monkey scumread. Enomis only posted when under pressure. Even here, the Enomis slot attempts to negatively spin what I say before it comes out of my mouth. Ika likely hasn't read (he certainly has not shown that), and has had zero opinion beyond pushing me.

TLDR; My tactic of tunnelling Titus is always best, so I am going to ignore her request for a second scumread despite treating her as town.

The nightless failed solely because scum deliberately wagoned themselves to avoid my VCA. Second, this game does not have vote counts. Third, if I am shot, I will want everyone to vote to get solid reads and force scum to act if they want a particular result.

Why, because Wandererer and ika had both fallen for my gambit of keeping myself shootable. I don't really see town ika as capable of falling for that. Wandererer is also just basically a hollow shell. They haven't been pushing anything all game.

Kari on the other hand has zero problem admitting she's lost. The fact I am her only townread is a little disconcerting but it mirrors a lot of my own thoughts. I was hoping (since you obvtowned) scum might give me the gun out of paranoia hoping I would shoot you.

If you're shoot pool excludes the obvious, need to take shots, then I would shoot CB in it but that should be kinda evident from my posting anyway.

@Heartless, I don't care or see the town motivation for either of those.

#172, only serves to silence conftown while waiting for a flip.

#298 is a lot of hot air. That's so much null it's a wall of garbage.

#1413 - Hey I'd like the town that's totally right on the scum to die because I can't read someone who is right on scum all the time, open and honest... Sure... I buy that... never.

CB - Gives a townread here, but doesn't say why. Doesn't really elaborate here.

ika - Stance is off. Says ika has been "looking for townreads" but the truth is ika has been obsessively tunnelling my slot.

West is a solid townread but again because the ISO looks good. There's no substance here.

There's nothing there to Wanderer's ISO. So of course it makes sense that nothing's changed. It's a lot of feel good posting. If I get the gun, I'll likely shoot them if no one else scumreads them because I'm not seeing another game fail.

As for West, I like his pushback on you and defending his stance.

Scum to me is in CD, ika, Wanderer. I have not seen ika push a scumread that wasn't me in umpteen million games. I've debated blacklisting for him but I feel a bit like Charlie Brown doing it.

Yes. He fails to explain it as either alignment. Frankly, anything he posts is a large distraction. I have played so many games with this nonsense. Even he won't deny that he scumreads me in almost every game.

No. As scum, he would likely capitulate that he made a mistake. Why would he piss you off, as scum, knowing that you could shoot him? It makes more sense to read that as town looking for the truth.

West is absolutely 100% town. I would bet the game on that fact.
