Dang it, I tried. I tried so hard to do stuff but Clovis just kept running in... Aghhh...

Recap from memory was we went back in, fought a goblin raiding party that just came back and wolves on the other side. Calm Animal was great for the wolves after Who almost got mauled to death. CMM, our archer got downed. Clovis attacked sleeping goblins INSTEAD OF stabilising his dying friend next to him. We captured a goblin archer, which Shadow just snapped the neck of after Who promised him he wouldn't be harmed, and he lead us to a secret tunnel which was complete regret after we entered it, Ballad turned on the torch, Shadow went ahead and got arrowed upon, they called reinforcements, fought a bit, Who casted Sleep on Ballad, more fighting, reinforcements came, lost two PCs and pretty much made it so the dungeon is now more fortified.

In other words, I'm going to die in there. Main plotline is over, gg, well played.

They found the goblin's lair and marched into a hail of arrows.

Ballad charged in bravely, and got surrounded. Who put him and another goblin under magical slumber, while Hana provided magical DPS.
quadz ended up eating three arrows and was forced to retreat. Who escaped as well.
Clovis rushed in to save his friend, only to be peppered by arrows by the goblin reinforcements. Clovis and Ballad met their grisly ends, while rest of the party got out.

I had already run, but did you have a chance to run and take Ballad with you?

More details: I stayed at the back due to having 1 HP left, Ballad went down pretty early, Clovis refused to consider running, I ran pretty early because we obviously weren't winning and I couldn't do much to help at that point, Shadow ran a bit after me, then Clovis fell and Miniri ran.

fwiw, I ran after hitting 0 hp - if that last arrow hadn't done 4 damage to me, I think we could have at least wiped the two archers and left with Ballad. :/

In other news, I leveled up and got the Deflect Arrows feat, so that should be nice

Now that goblins have been warned, they're going to be protecting their camp stronger. It might be worth it to explore other sections of the cave to grind up before trying again.

Yeah, I feel that's the best strategy. We'll explore the different parts of the dungeon, then head back up if we really need to. I don't really start to take off until Level 3 to 6 so I'll just be...support until I can actually hit proper DPS.

He was surrounded and would probably have died without it, I was hoping to hit both the goblins around him but one made its saving throw. When I first started casting I assumed it would only hit enemies for some reason, when I finished casting the others told me to take the risk.

well, highest level characters just hit 2.

Lower level characters earn more xp for the same encounters, so you should catch up quickly.

The app actually doesn't do much. All it does is make you interact with the chat, you can't even seen the map on the app if you're okay with just getting text. With FG though, it's alright because he says a lot on there.
