Netflix Watchlist

Post Post #0 (isolation #0) » Thu Feb 12, 2015 6:56 am

What shows are you currently watching that you would suggest?

What movies are up right now that you totally loved?

I just watched Machine, which was interesting. I think Snowpiercer is still up too, which you should watch if you haven't.

Spoiler: Shows I keep on my list pretty much at all times:
Lost
Once Upon a Time
Friends
Star Trek (Original Series, Next Gen, DS9 and Voyager)
X-Files
Law and Order
The Mirror
The Walking Dead
Columbo
An Idiot Abroad
Cosmos
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Criminal Minds
Damages

Started Archer because a friend asked. Not sold on it yet.

What else?

* Yes I know there's a movie thread and a TV thread, but this is for NETFLIX ONLY STUFF because some of us aren't so fancy with the cable and stuff. :shifty:

Oo yeah I saw that documentary. I keep suggesting it as an option when the guy and I sit down to watch something together and he always says no.

If you haven't watched Blackfish yet, do it soon! So, so sad. Freaks and Geeks was great I thought, but Derek didn't appreciate it like I thought he would - it's totally his generation. He really liked Prison Break though; he just watched it straight through and I got tired of him hogging the Xbox to do it lol...

Also I liked The Interview! But it was definitely a "high" movie. Watching it sober is dumb. XD

I'll have to check out some of the others I haven't seen. Like Merlin. I see that up there all the time, but I was such a fan of the SciFi mini-series that I thought that one might be kinda hokey in comparison.

Horns looks weird/interesting. I might check it out next time boyfriend is at board games.

I keep suggesting we watch In Bruges and he keeps saying no because Colin Farrell's face is on the cover. :igmeou: I will probably never get to see it.

Just watched the first half of The Hunt for Red October last night and I love it so far. Can't wait to finish it tonight. Came up because there's some other Jack Ryan movie on with the new Captain Kirk that I wanted to watch but the bf is a huge trekkie and hates the new ST movies and refuses to watch it. I swear the reasons he has for not wanting to watch interesting-looking movies is so arbitrary.

Snatch is on Netflix now! If you've never seen it but liked lock stock and two smoking barrels you will love snatch. same director and similar style. it's a crazy ridiculous action movie about a heist gone wrong. I love this movie.

Nope.

Tarantino can go die in a hole with his awful, try-hard, over the top, "look at me, look how special and unique I am ripping off great people who actually came up with their own styles" bullshit movies I hate them all except Django.

Kill Bill was just a(nother) bad movie (by Tarantino). There are far better things with great female leads available on Netflix. I will take a look at the list later and post them.

The characters and their development are interesting and I do think they are very well-written, BUT give me a sense of the premise FIRST so I know how to relate these stories with it. Otherwise I'm just going... "Uh.... so what's the point? What's the message I'm supposed to be getting here?"

3 episodes in and D asked me how the show was and what it was about and I literally could not provide an answer. I have no idea what the show is about.
