Hi guys, I'm a LoL player but want to try DotA2 just for something new and to learn a little bit more about the genre. Any tips?

Just tried a little bot game. Holy shit. I can deselect my hero? Why would I ever want to do that?

But that's the thing, in LoL if I select another hero to look at the items the game doesn't go "Whelp, guess you want to play as them now." The game assumes movement commands still refer to the character that I am in control of, not the one that I have selected.

So I just played my 2nd game ever of Dota2 and it's fucking crazy this game. People just teleport in from nowhere with no warning and fuck all of my holes.

Say what you will about LoL, Rito are p good about letting players know what the fuck is happening in a match.

I just had a Queen of Pain appear from nowhere and delete my ogre magi. I don't know what the correct play was at all.

Interesting game, the interface is crazy hard, but the flow is nice. I dunno, might play more if I play withpeople who are willing to help me.

QOP has a blink as an ability she can use every 6 seconds, it's like flash but every 6 seconds.

If it's anything like the blink dagger the problem isn't it's like flash. It's that it's like flash from almost a screen away. In a game where LOS is so important, what the fuck.

Australian server doesn't have a lot of people playing limited heroes, was my first problem. Not insurmountable, just a big queue.
